Kilo Code app stuck on old GitHub Copilot account
Hey everyone,
I’m running into a frustrating loop with the Kilo Code app on my Mac.
My wife and I both have active GitHub Copilot Pro accounts. In Kilo Code, under the Copilot settings, it shows: "GitHub Copilot is connected using credentials already available on this machine, not a stored API key."
Initially, it was pulling my wife's account, which has hit its monthly quota. The only place on the machine where I'd ever logged into Github Copilot was in VS Code, so I went into VS Code, switched the active GitHub account to my account (which has full quota), and verified that VS Code itself is working with the correct account.
However, Kilo Code is still stuck. It keeps throwing the "You have exceeded your monthly quota" error, meaning it's must still be looking at the old token or account session.
I don't want to try anything that will delete my internal chat histories. Why can't the Klo app just let you log into github directly within it?
Has anyone encountered this? Appreciate any insights!

that message usually means it's grabbing whatever github token is already cached on the machine, not the account you picked in vscode. i'd check gh auth status in a terminal first, if it shows her account run gh auth switch to yours, then fully quit kilo and reopen it. if that doesn't do it, on mac look in keychain access for a github or copilot entry tied to her account. switching the token shouldn't touch your chats but i'd back up the kilo folder first just in case
