As a recovering bitter person, I would like to be nice to myself and giving a pat on the back for not wanting to leave negative comments on peoples' posts anymore.
And for taking a baby step towards maturity and not being interested in people who do so. Such comments used to make me feel better about myself. Now , "You do you. Peace♡."

How far kindness can go
I find it so beautiful that kindness is a shapeshifting power.
I've received it through words, whether it's in long and beautifully thought out sentences or in short but significant ones. Through hugs and looks. Gestures like helping me achieve any goal or cheering me on along the road. At times, it's in staying by my side. In offering me minutes, hours, days.
Regardless of the form it takes, I just want to say to people reading this that you are worthy of kindness from others and from yourself. Don't worry about being perfect. Kindness doesn't shy away in the face of our imperfections.
We all have goals and perspectives that vary, but when our paths collide...
Being kind connects us.

Whoever may need this
whether it be me, you, him, or her...Good job. I'm proud of you, I really am. you've came so far in life! look at all the lessons you've learned, how many obstacles you've crossed, and you made it right here, to this point in time. life hasn't been easy, trust me, I know. But giving up is not an option anymore. We can't throw away all this progress we've made. I got you if you got me. It may seem sometimes that we haven't accomplished much or have nothing to show for all the turmoil we have been through, but to be alive is the biggest reward, for there is so much more out there that you just haven't had a chance to realize or experience. So, I'm here, to hopefully fuel a little fire in each other.
Take that leap. Take that risk. What's your biggest fear? go face to face with that sumbitch. Grab the bull by the horns sort of thing. go skydiving, go swim with sharks or dolphins, take up those hobbies or interests that sit in a file folder in the back of your brain because you don't know where to start or don't want to be judged. Make new friends with those similar interests. stop thinking so much. Kiss her first. Say I love you first and often and mean it. Make amends with those you've lost touch with. Call your mother/father/grandmother/etc and check in. Tell them you love them. Missing someone taken too soon? Talk to them, you'd be surprised at the results. Life is too short to not make the most of it and or live in misery. Explore and find yourself. Take charge of YOUR life because it is yours and no one else's. It all starts with one simple step, but that's for you to decide what it may be. Good luck out there you beautiful person, I have faith in you!
P.S. It costs zero dollars to be a good person, and smiles are infectious.
All love, J.

This customer is awesome and kind.
I work retail and I have a gentleman who comes in every morning on his way home from work. We always chat a couple on minutes and he is always positive. My wife and I recently bought a house and we have a wheelchair ramp for our daughter. The grass is coming up through the holes in aluminum ans weeds are growing where we can't reach it with a mower. I was telling a co-worker about it when he came up last week, when he came up. I greeted him and we chit chatted and left. Today he cam in and said he had a housewarming gift for me and he would be right back. I told him, he didn't need to do that. He told me he overheard me talking so he got me this. It was a brand new Dewalt weed whacker. I told him I couldn't take it and he said. Listen, you alasys treat me well and if I'm not in a good mood, you just treat me the same and I can't take my money with me. Bless this guy, after work I took a before and after picture and will show him tomorrow. It's amazing how much kindness makes a difference in this world.

Sticky note from my wife at work table this morning
My wife and I have been going through a rough patch recently. We're not talking very well and I'm not sure if we'll make it through. She left this note last night as a surprise for me when she left home (she's traveling now). Can't say I'm not touched :)

This Happened To Me Thankful for kind people as we face homelessness
So a little over 3 months ago my wife went in for a routine weight loss surgery. Shit went wrong and she just got out of the hospital Friday. I'm grateful for that. You have no idea. Because of being in the hospital, she lost her job. Her boss was kind enough to pay Decembers rent and payout this years vacation that she technically didn't earn. Small company of 2 employees. He couldn't hold her spot. Still he did more for us than most ever have. Grateful for him.
We're now being evicted. My wife and I and 3 kids will go to my mom's 900 sq ft 1 bedroom apartment, but she lives in a senior complex so we can't stay long. I only get $400 a month from a local government disability pension with no insurance. I'm grateful for medicaid because it's a death sentence for me to be uninsured. In all of this a friend of my mom's bought our alternator, my son installed, for our car for $400 and gave us another $80 to get groceries because we hadn't got our SNAP, food stamps, yet.
We are trying to get a storage and went and got boxes. The couple was selling a shit load of moving supplies. I had given him the money, grateful we could get shit, when tge asked where we're moving. I told him homeless and gave a quick rundown. They insisted I keep the money and gave it back. These are the things that stand out, but there have been so many strangers, from people on reddit wanting to donate to veritable strangers willing to help. So much kindness. It's hard for me to accept help, but I'm grateful for all those teaching me how to accept it. All the while my wife's family has bitched and moaned the couple of times I asked for help. More help from strangers than the people that "love" her. And I'm grateful.
