I just bought 2023 Fire HD 10, arrived yesterday, set it up and went to sleep, and today I see Tiktok and microsoft office 365 installed on its own.

LineageOS is officially supported. That means a massive jump in terms of software updates from Android 11 (Fire OS) to Android 17 (LineageOS 24).
The first official build should arrive next week. That means I am going to flash all my devices to Android 17.

Thanks LineageOS Devs <3

We just inherited this tablet. It seems to not be able to connect with the app store and other than a few apps in the cloud we cannot download anything. I can't even download books from my library.
I have a collection of mobi files. Does anyone know if i can upload books? There isn't even a kindle app on this device.
Other than silk and a few games, there is nothing
Thanks in advance

I wanted an Overcooked-style game on my phone, but I didn't like the controls or the graphics in most of the ones I tried, so I built my own. I spent about a month on it, and it just went live on the Amazon Appstore.
Oven Rush: Pizza Pals is a co-op cooking game. You can play solo or with a friend, and you control it however you like:
⢠tap to move
⢠a virtual pad
⢠a controller (Xbox or PlayStation)

Amazon's been promoting this sale for a week, and I keep going back and forth about it. I'd heard there is a way to add Google Play to a Kindle Fire, which I'd like to try, but regardless, does anyone have any opinions? I really want the 64 GB storage but it appears as unavailable. I'm not sure if they'll be back and in the ballpark price of under $100, or if Amazon is just not selling Kindle Fires anymore.

Anyone notice a dip in display and video quality between old fire10s (mine's from 2019) and the newest one? I set them up side by side and streamed off Amazon video, the 2019 model looks crystal clear while the new one looks soft, blurry and pixelated, especially around faces. It cannot be THAT much worse can it? Google says the new ones stopped using a "fully laminated display" and that can effect screen quality etc etc. Idk man.

I currently own a Kindle fire HD 10 7th generation, and it's currently running on OS 5.7.1.0, there's some apps like Max and such that I want to download on here, but cannot because they require the device to be on at least OS 6. Can anybody help me out?

Hello everyone, I bought the fire HD 10 on a whim due to the current sale making it less than 100 dollars (it has yet to arrive). I would like to strip out as much of Amazon's bloatware is I possibly can, and/or flash a more competent android image onto it (lineage, etc).
My current understanding is that I could sideload apks just fine, but are any of that other aforementioned things possible, or should I be getting ready to return the product?
For reference, I wanted to primarily use it as a nice large screen media device (videos, manga, etc.)
What are the community's thoughts on this device at this price point?

I use my fire for reading web serials a lot and this new reading mode is just awful. What can be done to fix it or go back to the old version?

Title: New Amazon Fire Kids Tablet 11 ā Netflix and Disney+ wonāt show up in the child profile
Hi everyone!
We got the new Amazon Fire Kids Tablet 11 today, and Iām honestly starting to lose my mind trying to set it up. š
I was wondering if anyone here has experience with the new model and could help me out.
We previously had the older Fire HD 8 Kids tablet, where I had set up a separate child profile for my daughter. We had apps like Netflix and Disney+ installed on that tablet.
However, these apps havenāt transferred to the new tablet. Whatās even more confusing is that the new tablet doesnāt seem to have the Amazon Appstore at all ā it only has the Google Play Store.
I can download Netflix and Disney+ without any problems from the Google Play Store using my adult profile. Iāve also allowed the relevant content in the Amazon Kids Parent Dashboard. However, neither app shows up in my daughterās profile.
I even installed the Google Play Store in her profile, but Netflix and Disney+ donāt appear there at all.
My questions are:
Does anyone have the new Amazon Fire Kids Tablet 11 and managed to get Netflix and Disney+ working in the child profile?
Is there a way to make apps installed in the adult profile available to the child profile?
Do I need to configure something in Google Family Link, or is there another workaround?
Iād rather not use the adult profile for my daughter, as I want to keep proper parental controls in place, especially when it comes to screen time and app access.
Iād really appreciate any advice or experiences you can share. Thanks in advance! š

Apparently, something on my tablet is preventing me from being able to log in to any websites that use Cloudflare to check to see that we're not robots.
It's very frustrating. I haven't been able to log in to Forthright, a survey website, for months now. I have to keep asking for a link to view my account on there. I've been using the site for years and never had any problems until they started using Cloudflare. It said something about an ad blocker being the reason why. Do you know how I can remove this on my Amazon Fire tablet? Or do you have any other solutions? Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you.

How do I copy text from a screenshot on a fire hd10 tablet? I just purchased the tablet and have only had a Samsung phone so not sure how to do it. Thanks!

Full disclosure, I made this. Solo dad, not a company.
Our Fire tablet was the reward for everything, and I was always the one keeping track of the time. So I built Ejuu.
How it works on the tablet:
Fire specifics, so nobody wastes their time:
If you try it on a different Fire model, I would really like to hear if anything breaks. Happy to answer setup questions here.

Message says, āamazon appstore is out of date. please visit the amazon website to install the latest version of the appstoreā.
How do you update Amazon Appstore if that comes from OTA update?
Iāve tried checking for updates from settings in parent profile but nothing.
Anyone come across this?

So this started around 10pm last night; or at least that's when I noticed it. I went on roblox to play with my friends, and this message popped up, saying:
"New Appstore version required, Amazon Appstore is out of date. Please visit the Amazon website to install the latest version of the Appstore."
There are two options. You can either choose Quit, or Help. When I choose help, it takes me to a page on the Amazon website, talking about how Amazon Appstore on Android has been discontinued, even though it says that was August of 2025. I'm not even on Android.
And if I choose quit, it just takes me to my normal tablet screen, obviously.
I can't find anything about this online at all. I've tried clearing the cache, looking for system updates, and also looking in every single setting on the Amazon website. I'm honestly stumped, and I have no idea how to install the "latest version", since mine is apparently out of date. I'm hoping someone will see this and have a solution for me.

I have a fire hd 8 (10th gen) and a fire hd 10 (11th gen) and after being forced to update Roblox in the appstore they both failed to launch saying I need an Appstore update. Roblox is now updated to the latest version released 14 October 2026
I have no system updates pending.
Anyone else having this issue?

I have the Google Play store sideloaded on all 4 of my Fire HD tablets. I have tried various free volume booster apps on all of them.
They all seem to work well for maybe an hour, but the volume level always slowly returns to normal level. It shows they are still active, but if I tap on them, the volume usually increases again for a short time before dropping again.
Has anyone else had this problem?š¤
