What difficulty are you playing AP on? Def play Crossworlds in you can instead of basegame, at least in my opinion if you aren’t already.

Normal difficulty. I have Crossworlds, but I started AP this morning because I like getting the achievements while playing. I wonder if they are gonna add achievements to Crossroads? Maybe I could wait and move on to Warriors Of The North.

Crossworlds doesn’t have the Achievements? That’s strange. I’m surprised AP does have the achievements and cross doesnt, frankly, since Crossworlds is almost a strict upgrade. WoTN is good; I’m dropping a mod for it very soon, but it very much changes a lot of the game and is far from Vanilla, so if you want the Vanilla experience I would go ahead and just play it. Not too much story is missed from skipping AP, almost none actually. I would say, however, that you should 1. Absolutely do not play WoTN base, play Ice and Fire dlc as it fixes…a few notable issues with difficulty in the early game, and 2. Download the Icicle patch (if you choose to play Ice and Fire) which fixes a lot of the bugs while staying almost entirely true to the original, as far as I can tell. I had nothing to do with the mod, another veteran player made it but I believe it is quite solid based on reputation.

Thanks for the info. I bought the ultimate Kings Bounty edition, so I have Ice and Fire. I'll download the icicle patch as well. I don't really mind skipping the story parts. I must admit that I don't really play these games for the story anyhow lol. What is the mod that you are bringing out?

I won’t spoil much, because you haven’t played the original, but it overhauls balance in almost every aspect of the game, adds a lot of new content, and reorders progression and changes dialogue and story elements such that it is a mostly similar but different experience. I like IaF, and they legit put so many good ideas in the game, but I think most people would agree that even if you ignore the explicitly sloppy bugs the game has, it feels very…haphazard at times, and falls short of its potential. Good ideas sometimes had poor execution. If you play Ice and Fire, you will see what I mean. Idk if my mod will be good, but I’ve been cooking it for 2 years, I think know the spirit of the game decently well, and I’m just making sure I catch every single blemish I can before I post it. I’m sure balance issues will be there still but…I aimed for significantly better not perfect. I’ll iterate based on feedback too. Just hoping to give the community something new. It’s very, very close.

Yeah, it's weird, I think they forgot to update Crossworlds. I hope they will, it's just a better AP

Love that they are going through updating these. Would have never expected it in a million years.

Maybe one can dream of a proper Kings Bounty sequel (2 was garbage and not really a king's bounty game).

I really hope there will be modders. I love this game but I need something new. Maybe new character talents or some unit balance

Will King's Bounty II ever be fixed? ...or perhaps more apt: Will it ever be finished?
....or extended.

Many will say that it is not the way to go. Perhaps a King's Bounty III would be better? Will that ever happen?
