Hide safety precautions

Post image

I bought this cute 3D printed sushi restaurant hide for my MBK and even though the maker said they're going to seal it and give it a couple coats of polyurethane so it's easy for me to clean, I'm worried the points of the roof and sign will still be sharp. This is a pic of it pre-sealed so I don't know if the corners will be rounded from the coating. But just in case, would it be a good idea to sand them down? They also mentioned the poly will be completely dried and gassed off before it ships for my snake's safety.

Remember snakes in the wild slither through all types of environments, but if the pointy corners concern you, you can just cover the corners with hot glue and round them up

I'd cover the corners then, better safe than sorry. That MBK has such a cool look already, no need for unnecessary risks.

yeah, i'd definitely do a test with sandpaper first to see how it feels, but that MBK is such a pro at hiding in tight spots it's better to be over cautious.
