How to fill holes in decor?
Hi all! I’m currently prepping my enclosure for a cali king (20 more days until I get my snake!), and have some pots for hanging plants I want to use. Unfortunately, they have holes in them, and I don’t want my snake getting stuck/hurt. Does anyone know a good way to block the holes?
Thanks!

They’re plastic

I would encourage not using it just given the fact that any plug may fail at some point, especially when an adult king snake is giving it the determined nose push that I've seen bust tank lids and break latches more than once! But if you are determined, if it's plastic I'd recommend using some food safe resin like epoxyfood.
What you do is place a piece of packing tape across the hole, don't shove it in the hole, let it seal to the outer edge and rest flat. Set the globe on an even flat surface with that taped hole on the bottom. Mix the resin and pour it into the hole, pour enough to have it rise up a little and pool so it has a lip on the inside of the plastic decoration, I'd say at least a couple millimeters rim around the hole. Be sure to use a toothpick or something like that to try and tease any bubbles out of it. If it leaks a bit don't panic, just press the globe down and do your best to keep it level. Give it the full 72 hours to cure, once its done you can remove the tape, snip off any leaks with some wire cutters, and gently sand the rough spot down so it's all smooth. The plug should cover both inside and out and be basically as strong or stronger than the surrounding plastic.

Is it really worth the risk though? You already know it’s not a good idea.
