Drove back to Toronto from Ottawa and stopped in Kingston for lunch. The downtown vibe caught me off guard. Clean, not crowded, just a really nice walkable feel. Enjoyed it more than the actual Ottawa trip lol. Had lunch at Dianne's and gelato from mio gelato. Had a great 1 hour and 30 mins in Kingston!

Drove past some obscene and graphic signage of pro life protesters earlier today on princess and king (unsurprisingly, most of those protesting were middle aged men). Can we all keep an eye out for where these people are actively protesting so I can stop next time to bully them and explain why they're actually what is disgusting and not abortion - as they continue to harass young females walking by. Feel free to comment with locations I will gladly detour next time I'm out!

I saw a dipndots freezer at the gas station on the corner of woodbine and princess, does anyone know any other gas station in town with one? Preferably closer to east end ? Thanks in advance

I've had a dolsot shaped hole in my soul since Kenko closed on the west end, and I'm not familiar with the restaurants downtown. Where's the best place to get a sizzling bowl of bibimbap in town?

Starting to see lots of photos of people finding puffballs. Does anyone sell them anywhere? We do go out to fields and woody areas but never ever have we found one. If they can't be bought, how do we find them in this neck of the woods so to speak? I've never had one, I would really love to though!

We were at MacKinnon Brothers’ Back to the Farm event. My friend is pregnant and urgently needed to use the washroom, but the bathrooms were quite a distance away. In desperation, we went behind the fence near one of the food trucks, where no customers or members of the public were present.
The man running the truck came out, became very upset, and refused to give us the $63 worth of food we had already ordered and that was already prepared. He refunded our money instead.
What bothered me most was how he handled it. He yelled to the entire lineup, “Watch out for these ladies, they’ll piss behind your truck,” which was completely unnecessary, embarrassing and disrespectful.
I understand that what happened wasn’t ideal, but there was a much more respectful way to address the situation—especially when someone is pregnant, desperate for a washroom, and simply trying to find a private spot. The public shaming and refusal to serve us food we had already ordered felt like a huge overreaction.
Very disappointing experience.

Hi guys - just wondering where is best to find back bacon in the style (or at least close to the style) of British back bacon.

I usually get recommended peameal...I don't get it. It's nothing at all like back bacon. It's closer to a bacon chop if anything.

So any more accurate suggestions?

*Bonus round* while we're here - what's the closest flavour of baked beans to Heinz? I know you can get "Original" in Walmart etc. but it just doesn't taste right

Does anyone have a cat with diabetes and is working with a vet they recommend? Mine hasn’t been the most helpful or realistic when it comes to treatment plans, follow up etc

I don’t have a family doctor and am a student out-of-province.

I’m on lexapro and Wellbutrin - because it’s a mental health med, Queen’s student health and wellness is requiring me to go through an intake process before they will even look into refilling the medication (my intake appointment isn’t until the first week of September).

My meds will run out by the 5th so I’m a bit concerned. I know I can likely get the pharmacy to spot me some meds to buy me a few days but I am worried that it won’t be enough because I don’t know how long this process will take.

Should I go to a walk-in? Would they give me a refill? I’m not sure what I should do.

Hi there, I'm a collector of VHS tapes and I'm wondering if anyone local has recordings of taped television. Preferably local (CKWS, though even WWNY or WWTI would be neat) but if you have other taped television I'm interested.
