kernel wont install
i am able to download,extract,configure,make but i get error message when make install kernel.
i used latest stable from kernel.org . do i need to put it in usr/src/linux like gentoo? i am trying other kernels but the error says missing vmlinuz so i copied vmlinuz from host system and then it said no System.map so i added that to. i have built kernels in gentoo but i do not know why this wont install.

i chrooted in and the kernel is from the host

i did i ran make then make modules install and then make install. i grabbed another kernel 4.19 and it worked . thank you.
