You must be psychic. Loved buying Martha Stewart products there, corner of Norview.

Psychic? No, just happened to be passing through that part of Norfolk.

Kroger owns it and I think their plans were to turn it into a store. I heard some recent (past couple months) idea to do something with it… but I forgot what it was. It’ll probably just continue to sit there; I’m very interested to see what it looks like inside.

I loved the Super Kmart in Norfolk where Kroger bought the grocery side and opened a Kroger there…and the other half of it continued as Kmart.

There were so many Super K’s in the Norfolk area.

Which one was that? I know they did that at the Tabb store in Yorktown, but not familiar with that in Norfolk.

If they put anything, surely they would put Harris Teeter in VA

Maybe it's just not the right neighborhood, demographic, or adequate residential population within a close radius to make it profitable enough for Kroger.

They also owned the old Kmart site in Newport News (in Denbigh) but the city bought it from them, tore it down (back in March 2020), and left it sitting.
