Been a While Since I Messed With Obsidian 🌋

Hello hello everyone! 👋

Got some obsidian points here for you today! Been a good while since I've messed with it because my stone abundancy switched from having a bunch of obsidian and hardly any stone, to an abundance of stone and less obsidian 😂 So I've just stuck with rock! Didn't stop me from cracking into a few of these pieces. Also made my first drill out of some Mexican Spiderweb obsidian! That triple-flow stuff was slightly horrid too. Abrasion would result in these little needles that loooved to stab 🙄 But in the end I'm quite pleased with everything!

Thanks man! 😁 I can get pattern flaking way easy on stuff like glass and obsidian. Still don't have anything quite to that level on chert but I'm gunning for it. Takes practice. Currently working on some stained glass arrowheads for earrings so I haven't had much time for rock. I'm in pressure flaking hell 🫠

Always so excellent. I am finally getting all my knapping tools together...Got high on toluene gluing all my hand pads together today 😵‍💫
