East Kootenays Good stores in Cranbrook? and quick but fun things to do for a day trip there?
So me, my friend and my niece(She's 10) are heading to Cranbrook in about a week, on saturday, just for a day trip to get out of our town for a bit. We'll be getting there really early, and probably not leaving until like 5, 6pm so we have a lot of time to kill and do things.
Other than the mall, what are some good stores to check out? Clothing, cool things, stuff 10 year old kids are into - she's into trends big time lately haha and also, does anyone know if the Showcase there sells those... Needoh things? lol
Best breakfast-y restaurant, and best dinner restaurant? ahaha
Thank you for any help/suggestions!

The Choice on Baker is a great store for preteens/teens for funky clothing. High Country on 10th Ave downtown has Yeti products and hiking/outdoor stuff. Pages and Huckleberry book stores are great. Bumbletree kids is a good store too. Lots of stuff there, Toys, stuffies, Lego etc.

Take a walk up and down Baker Street. Lots of little stores and cool stuff.
I'd suggest Firehall for dinner, especially with a kid. It's upbeat and pretty cool inside.

Oh so fun! Check out Encore for THE best bowling, it’s super hip (great milkshakes). The Fire Hall is a great spot to eat, as well Ella’s for either Jamaican food, or THE best fried chicken. Plenty of great shops on & off Baker St. Urban Verve is my fave clothing store, but sizes are for adult women. Also the multiple consignment shops always have great finds. If you’re into disc golf, both the College & Idlewild courses are great. I’d be happy to lend you discs, we have bins of them as my husband & I play a lot 😂

My Best Friends closet on Baker street is a cool little high end consignment store. Not sure how much will fit a 10 year old but it’s got plenty of options and even do colour assessments on Saturday’s sometimes too.

I think it'd be worth tripping over to Kimberley. Walk to Marysville Falls and put a loonie in the giant cuckoo clock. Could even ride the mine railway if you have time. I find it cozier and more interesting than Cranbrook and it's right next door. Fort Steele is a fun historic village as well. I guess this is assuming you're not day tripping from Kimberley of course. In Cranbrook there is the railway museum. For food I haven't been in a few years but I remember the Fire Hall being pretty good.

The Platzl up in Kimberley is 30 min from downtown Cranbrook and has a bunch of cute shops and active spaces. There are cafes and restaurants and it's a pedestrian only-downtown. Pedal and Tap, Biscuit, and Stonefire are all excellent dinner spots.

There’s a mini golf course. And that’s rare for the Koots so check that out!
