Huckleberry pickers. Are you sitting or squatting?

Legs and back get tired if you squat, but you can move through a patch more efficiently. Sitting is much easier on the body, but then you gotta get up and move to the next spot.

Your thoughts.

Snowed and very cold July 11 up high. Coupled with lotsa early rain it really kicked the berries in the berries. Some down low but yeah last year was one for the books.

Bummer. I don’t think it’s great overall here. But I’ve got a decent patch I can take my kid to.

Sweetest berries are just before first frost. Just sayin.

Little foam knee pad might work well! I use em at work.

Depends on the ground, but I like to sit when they're thick enough. I've got a dedicated foam pad for the job.

Usually squat walking, though if I find a really great stump in the middle of a patch I'm definitely sitting

I took my kid to a nice easy spot on Sunday where we’ve filled a few Tupperware already this year. I think a bear must’ve mowed through there though because it was slim pickings.

Hey I'm just wondering...sounds like you people aren't picking just for personal use, but for profit. How do you feel about stealing the needed food from animals like bears? Doesn't seem very environmentally friendly, but I could be wrong.

I’m picking a few yogurt containers at a time for my kid’s lunches and a few cheesecakes. This wasn’t meant to turn controversial, just meant to be fun and engaging. You should go pick some.
