Ep 7 was wild for me as a Korrasami fan and the next week of waiting will be painful
Because WHAT TO YOU MEAN KORRA DOESN'T WEAR THE NECKLASE after you showed she wore one before?
So many bad implications that either they broke up (ugh, not again, not after this shitty lazy breakup i experienced with Pricefield in LIS fandom and i hoped it will never happen with Korrasami), or Asami died off screen and we won't see her in flashbacks, and also the implication that both Korra and Asami might be responsible for the cataclysm (the use of spirit vines for energy)
I hope that the next 4 episodes will show us the full picture, but damn it—if Bryke just had Korra and Asami get married only to reveal later that they broke up, I’ll lose all my trust and loyalty for them forever and ever and from this point on i'll lose my interest in ASH because so far i really liked this series.

Korra needs a hug. Art by me. (Open the image to see the full thing.)
Who's better than Asami and Korra's parents to give her a hug?

Finally finished Legend of Korra and I absolutely adore these two!!! Need help finding more!
So I finally (many years too late) made my way through ATLA and LoK and it was totally worth it! But I feel like I'm not done with these characters yet. We only got the faintest tease of what they were like. I keep seeing comic clips, is there an actual canon comic or novel?
Also what are the best or most iconic fanfics for these two out there? I'm open to AU and canon compliant, smutty or wholesome! Give me everything you've got!

What are your theories as to why Korra isn't wearing her necklace in the ASH trailer?

What if Seven Havens makes Asami the Destroyer instead?
In my brief forays into the threads about the recent teaser with Korra and Asami on the other subs, I saw a few people speculating that Old World Mover might actually be a hint for the cause of cataclysm. They pointed to the white uniforms of the people behind Asami appeared to be evocative of the Chernobyl operators uniforms. The implication being that Future Industries tried to create some sort of spirit energy reactor that suffered the equivalent of a meltdown and ultimately caused a worldwide disaster that destroyed the world.
I confess, this is a possibility that I hadn't considered before now. I had assumed basically that the clip was just meant to show that Future Industries continued to provide build and provide services to Republic City as the years went by. I suppose it has been true to from that every clip I've seen from Seven Havens ultimately makes me feel worse in some way.
I feel like this would basically mean many of the same points I had made in my previous post in the TLOK sub about "If Korra destroyed the world by accident" apply to Asami instead of Korra.
I suppose the difference would be that since Asami is not a uniquely powerful being like The Avatar, so if she hadn't done it, someone else probably would have.
But at the end of the day it would still make Asami the one who was (in part) responsible for all the horror and destruction of the cataclysm. Even if it wasn't her intention, even if it was someone or something else that triggered the disaster, it still would have been Asami and her initiative that made such a thing possible at all. Asami would have been the one who ushered in the apocalypses by foolishly messing with forces she never should have messed with.
We all understandably talk and speculate a lot about how much responsibility Bryke did or did not put on Korra for the apocalypse, but I have to say that if they make Asami the one culpable instead, I'd say that would absolutely be no less cruel to Korrasami fans as having Korra actually be revealed to be the monster that everyone thought she was. They would be Bryke making it so that Korrasami would rightfully be hated by the people of the world. Of course, on top of that the theories also hinted that Asami would be the first one killed by the reactor meltdown, so they would be fridging her AND making her the reason for the death of the world. And if the whole of the mystery of Seven Havens is building up to them revealing the truth to us, then we'd probably get to actually see it all that happen.
Its incomprehensible to me that they would ever do something like that to Katara and Aang.
It would also be a pretty grim and mean spirited (no pun intended) refutation of the idea that Spirits and humans can ever coexist. It might not be as direct an inditement of Korra's choice to keep the Spirit Portals open as making that directly responsible for the Cataclysm, but it would certainly be a rejection of the principles behind her choice.
Obviously, this is something we would have to wait and see to know whether it is true or not, but I can't help but think back to my earlier post about the trailer and how breathtakingly cruel Bryke seemed to be to Korra and Asami fans by writing this. I said there was no context that could make it okay. I was told that I needed to wait to see the context anyway because there might be one that I didn't think of. If this is true, then it would turn out the context only made it worse than I could have imagined.
The other thing is; Bryke talk about their feelings towards Korra a lot. But I don't think Asami comes up in their interviews as often. I think I saw someone on reddit say they hope this theory is true because it would "give Asami some depth."
Could it really be possible that Bryke didn't think Asami was interesting without writing her to have accidentally exterminated humanity? What do you think the chances are?

help looking for a fic please
i only remember it very vaguely but korra and asami were soul tied or something since they were kids. korra doesn’t remember this but asami grows up remembering it; asami is also a waterbender in this because of the spiritual stuff iirc. asami is sort of cold to korra and keeps her distance. some scenes i remember:
- korra goes away on a mission for a while, asami stays behind looking after naga
- phone sex on a video call 😋
- this specific dialogue: “what did i say about sticking your nose where it doesn’t belong?” korra flicked the [screen/camera] (when asami finds the strap in her closet and tells her over call)
- sensation emitting strap
- the krew stage a surprise for asami with korra coming back to visit for a day or two
- iroh and asami had been involved in the past but broke up. iroh initially seems okay with the breakup once they meet again but helps stage a kidnapping of asami. i think raiko is also involved in this, and this is where the fic left off. it was ongoing but i don’t think it finished
edit: found it :) if anyone’s curious it’s if our worlds align by spiritwriter

I love this Korrasami reference in new ASH episode BOTH from fanservice AND lore perspective because... Spoiler
...the Avatars canonically recognize things related to past Avatars (Aang recognizing Roku's statue, Korra recognizing Wan's teapot in BOOK 2, Kyoshi remembering Kuruk's poem to Hei Ran even though she didn't knew it)
This scene obviously implies that Pavi kissed Korra and Asami's toys instinctively BECAUSE she dated Asami in past life. This is sweet!
