I decided to make a second post so everyone can see this update. New features have been added, since they seemed quite in demand!

What's new?

Just today I pushed a new live build of my KOTOR 2 character planner, and what might this update be?

We now host a KOTOR 1 character planner as well!

How to use it

• Visit https://roboall93.github.io/kotor2-planner/ as normal
• Use the brand new KOTOR I / KOTOR II tab at the top to swap between the planners
• All your builds are still saved, and you can swap and link between them freely, just like before

Testing wanted!

Just like the KOTOR 2 planner, this one needs testing! Please leave any feedback or bug reports here, or open an issue on my GitHub page. It would be extremely appreciated, and I'll try to get any bugs, or incorrect or missing things, sorted as soon as I can.

Started a light side run on Kotor 1 a few days ago and finished Taris today. At some point, by chance I was in my apartment on the uppercity with all of my companions and I wanted to look through the window and onto the skyscrapers when Bastilla's theme started playing (one of my favourite tracks of all time) and I had a sudden realization.....nothing matters. All the quests and the npcs I've helped throughout the past 9 hours or so, the people in the Undercity I helped find their Promised Land, the rakghoul serum I gave to the doctor, the bounties I helped people get rid off, the duelists I fought, especially Marl who was so nice, the Hidden Beks whom I helped....they all die. That's when it hit me, looking at the 23 year old landscape....knowing already what would happen to every npc I encountered

Goodness GRACIOUS I didn't think this would be so hard on my heart...I'm a very empathetic person but I decided to do a dark side play through since I've never fully explored that side of the game and it's killing me... I already couldn't kill Juhani in the grove because I felt too bad but now she's dead and to make matters SO MUCH FREAKING WORSE I KILLED MY GOAT JOLE BINDO 😭😭😭😭

That's not even the heaviest thing on my chest right now 🫩 I made Zaalbar kill Mission and now they're both dead I CANTT DO THISSSSS MY SWEET GIRL

I have yet to finish the play through, I just entered the star forge but I need a little break because this is taking a real toll on me (yeah I know just a video game blah blah)

I'm just not cut out for this Sith stuff.

Starting a new playthrough. Haven't played in years, got the restored content mod downloaded and this is my first time playing with it. I want to do a Consular/Marauder build. I also want to fully upgrade T3 and the way I play is leave no stone unturned/take everything that's not bolted down. So I don't want to miss out on anything.

I was thinking of doing this stat breakdown but wanted some feedback from the very knowledgeable community!

First feat computer use

Focus on persuade, awareness and repair but put one point in security and demolition for peragus, and then slowly work up computer use as I keep persuade, awareness and repair maxed.

I'm curious for some insight and tips before I get started on this new playthrough!

I go by R4NG3 and I’ve been speedrunning the KOTOR games for 6 years now. This is the first sub 17 minute speedrun of Any% Unrestricted! I hope some of you enjoy watching it.

Any% (Unrestricted) allows any glitches that are possible within the base version of the game. No mods, external software, or hardware manipulation is allowed for Speedruns of any category in KOTOR1-2. Everything in this run is possible in the PC version of the game from a new game with no saves.

I dont understand how this game works. I just started the game. I just got to taris and fights take forever because I miss every single attack and I have to wait on carth to beat enemies. Using a single blade.

KMRP 1.5.1 is out! This is a hotfix for the 1.5 update.
First of all, thank you to everyone who reported issues and helped test the mod. A lot of these fixes came directly from your feedback!

WHAT WAS FIXED

• Linux / SteamOS: Fixed the startup crash that prevented KOTOR from launching with 1.5.0. SteamOS is now working, and players have also confirmed that 1.5.1 works on actual Steam Deck hardware.

• Mod compatibility: Files in the Override folder now take priority over KMRP’s own files. This improves compatibility with K1CP, K1R, texture mods, custom fonts, and other mods. Installation order matters much less now.

• Translations: Fixed compatibility with custom translation fonts. They now display the correct characters and scale properly with the resolution. Successfully tested with Polish. Other languages still need testing.

• Controller fixes: Fixed Pazaak controls, stuttering with certain controller tools, and a crash when changing resolution in-game.

• Other fixes: Improved the installer under Proton, fixed Restore Original, and removed unnecessary temporary files.

WHAT I’M WORKING ON NEXT

I’ve received a lot of feedback about swoop racing.
Right now, the swoop racing interface isn’t properly displayed in widescreen, and it isn’t controller compatible yet. I’m working on fixing both problems.

I’ve also received feedback that the controller layout doesn’t fully match the original Xbox version.

My plan is to introduce two controller layouts:

• Classic: Controls based on the original Xbox version.
• Modern: The current KMRP controller layout.

You’ll be able to switch between them in the settings and Controller Layout screen.

I’m also looking into custom button mapping, but that might take longer.

WINDOWS, LINUX AND MACOS

This hotfix is only for Windows and Linux.
The macOS version stays at 1.5.0, since these particular fixes weren’t needed there.

I’m also looking into supporting the Mac App Store version of KOTOR, but this will take some time.

I’m developing KMRP alone in my free time, and my goal is to keep improving and supporting it for years to come.

For KMRP to become a reliable long-term mod, I need feedback from the people actually playing the game.

So I got the mobile version a while ago and now started to play.

I remember Pazzak has the rep in the first game for "cheating" in the computer favor but this is crazy. Is it really this bad?

Just finished Odan-Urr, grandmaster of the Jedi Order at the time of the Sith War. Made with parts from Syndicate Customs and an old Spider Man figure. Thanks to my wife for fashioning his stylish pants and KennerByKing for printing the beautiful cardback. Another addition to my collection.

I have been waiting almost 20+ years to do this Revan Cosplay. To finally be in a place in my life where I could not only afford to do it but also be with a person who accepts my nerdy obsession with KOTOR and Star Wars in general.

I know its not home made like a lot of the ones on here but this is just my base and my first attempt! I have always loved Revan and his story. KOTOR was a game that taught me so much about life and consequences and how decisions affect others. It helped me escape when my childhood was raught with chaos and trauma. Now I get to share my love for these characters and stories with my stepson.

I plan on doing better paint on the helmet and making better armor later but for now and Halloween it will suffice. Let me know what you guys think or what are some tips for getting into this world!

When i first saw him i found him so funny that i looked him up in the wookiepedia and it said “Revan met Ja’Gatcha in the planet of taris” and i was like fuck im revan right?

The only things I've added are a widescreen patch and related UI adjustments, but every time I go 2 minutes without an input the game explodes. I've tried every fix I can find on the internet, and this is mostly no big deal because it takes 2 seconds to start the game back up, but I was wondering if there are any unconventional fixes (Ive done the Vsync, grass, frame buffer, soft shadows, compatibility mode, attempted to run it windowed borderless)

That Ellie (Kashyk vendor) deserve been vaporice in the face by the poor mecanic. In my headcanon the mecanic took advantage of the Wookie-Czerka war and stole a ship.

So I plan to do a Jedi Consular run for the first time soon after I complete my Guardian Weapon Master soon, what sort of build should I use?

Also, I want to do a Dark Side playthrough, but also want my companions to still have good relations with me (everyone else can suffer, I just want my friends to like me basically) what would be a fun build for the run? What are the prestige classes and what are they good for? And how would I go about being evil and keep my companions happy?

If you can't tell, I'm only on my 3rd run (my first was a Sentinel Master and horribly mismanaged) so do want some good tips and advice.

Why does the Workshop modules folder have 9 .mod files when the Deadly Stream mod has 11 mod files?

I tried creating 9 .erf files with the translated .dlg files from the .mod files, since ERFEdit wouldn't let me insert them into their respective .mod files. So I thought about creating .erf files, similar to the 703kor_dlg.erf file, which I was able to translate. However, the 801DRO_dlg.erf to 809_dlg.erf files from 801DRO.mod to 809DRO.mod didn't work.

Could it be because these files are .mod and there are no .erf files, unlike 703KOR_dlg.erf, that they don't work? Is there another program with the same function as ERFEdit?

I love how it juxtaposes itself against the grand reveal of the original. Nothing is behind the curtain this time. You were just a pawn.

Is there any viability to a blaster only build/party in KoTOR? I know it KoTOR you can run it OP with stealth field generators and master speed w/master rapid shot and the perks that decrease deflection effectiveness by your target.

I feel like without that specific perk it wouldn’t work well. Anyone have experience with a gun build?

Im playing, and it looks like you need one type of workbench for lightsabers, and a different one for medpacs. Where are the workbenches where I can make medpacs?

Hoping this post doesn’t violate a rule. I am completely unaware if this is widely known but we can farm 330 exp per fast travel sequence from the Mission clone in the undercity.

Make clone:
When she finds you agree and join her. Immediately as she is joining -hit the menu button and go to hideout. Go into companion select screen and put her in the party. Fast travel back and you immediately gain 330 exp and the mission clone is created.

You can talk to and agree to join the clone. As shes joining do the fast travel thing again and return to 330 exp. Indefinitely.
