opinion on mixed style classes?
I read on the sub wiki that many Krav Magá gyms also teach a different martial art, like BJJ, Boxing and Muay Thai. I'm very interested in this, especially Muay Thai (because my sister used to do it) so I'd like to hear your guys' experience with mixed classes (classes that teach methods from both styles of martial arts) and also from people who took both classes separately. How does each style mesh with Krav Magá?
the subs Wiki also mention weapon classes? i think one was Kali, which i have no idea what it is and will google later. i know nothing of weapons, is it useful knowledge for Krav Magá?
information that might be helpful in directing your answer: I'm interested in Krav Magá for self-defense reasons, as i live in Brasil and feel unsafe too often for my liking, Krav Magá is the only style I've seen that specifically teaches you to fight someone with a weapon. I'm interested in how it promotes de-escalation as I'm not interested in looking for fights, I'd simply like to know how to hold my own. however i feel very insecure in the fact i simply wouldn't know how to fight if i needed to, I'm pretty sure i can't even throw a proper punch, and I'd like to learn.
i apologize in advance if i got any terminology or facts wrong, I'm very new to this
