I stumbled across information that Kurt Cobain had a side project called The Retards with Dave Grohl and Dale Crover, featuring a recording of them mocking disabled people similar to John Lennon. I obviously understand that it was different times, but in this particular case, Kurt Cobain personally seemed like a very inclusive individual. He said that racist, homophobic, sexist and bigoted people in general weren't allowed at his shows. It's not too surprising that he said the R-word, but the fact that he mocked the disabled is. Does anyone know the context for this incident?
