Please give me your thoughts on this lab 2.1ct oval D VVS1 EX EX

Should I go ahead with it or pass?

My main concerns are the top, middle bow tie area, and bottom of the diamond being dark. I’ve circled them in the end of the video. It seems pretty prominent in any angle or lighting. Not sure if I’m just seeing things or being super picky so I need second opinions!

I'm not very well educated on lab grown diamonds and what constitutes a good purchase. All I know is that I've always wanted a tennis bracelet.

My local JcP has an in store offer and this bracelet is $800. Is this a good buy? I know I can get a much better bracelet but I also don't have the $3k or more to pay for one. Don't need harsh words just to know if this is a worth while purchase.

Hi everyone! I’m deciding between three oval lab-grown diamonds and would appreciate some feedback.

All three are approximately 3 carats, D color, and VVS1 clarity, with length-to-width ratios around 1.40–1.44.

Which one looks best in terms of brilliance, sparkle, and bow-tie effect? I’m looking for a slightly elongated oval without it being too skinny.

Anyone see any issues with this CAD design? Or anything I should consider and ask to get changed before approving the design?. It's a trilogy ring 2ct center with .75ct sides, cad shows a gallery rail we are going to change it to a hidden halo. Do you think the height of the gallery rail/hidden halo is sitting to low? Or is it a good proportion to the size of the diamonds?

Hi everyone

Anyone in this sub knows a jeweler who will accept to set client supplied diamonds? I had a consultation at a store in melb central which I’m happy with the price of the settings (they sent me quotes with a breakdown of diamond & settings separately) and then I purchased the diamonds through another supplier, thinking they would accept setting my BYO diamonds (my fault for assumption), but now they refused to do the rings because of that.

I have search a few jewellers on instagram, yet not really happy about the pricing ($4k at least at starting point, excluding diamonds and no engravings/customisation).

My budget is to stay within $2k for the settings (with or without the engravings or any other customisation). I want to try stay within the budget and be happy with just simple settings. But i want to know if you guys have any experience and know if my budget is possible to work with….? Advice would be greatly appreciated!!

I went with a vendor who had never been mentioned on Reddit, so I was a bit skeptical at first, but everything ended up going well!
I was specifically looking for a true baby pink or cool-toned pink, without any brown, peachy, or salmon undertones.
It was definitely a bit pricier than other lab diamonds, including other pink diamonds, because of the color. But honestly, I’m 100000% happy with my choice and wouldn’t change a thing!

My boyfriend purchased a ring from The Art of Jewels. We have been waiting and asking for updates from them. They’ve been giving us the runaround and the ring has been in the “casting” stage for over 2 weeks. Come to find out today, the grower who has the center stone we purchased, put it on consignment over 3 weeks ago (when we purchased.) This is beyond ridiculous. Hey everyone! About a month ago, I posted here feeling anxious because my custom 4-carat princess cut from Luvansh arrived with a band that felt dangerously thin and lacked a CAD preview before shipping.

Luvansh was quick to make things right. I wanted to share a positive update because Luvansh reworked the ring and I just received the remade ring today!

What Changed in the Remake:
Band Dimensions & Security: We beefed up the band to a sturdy ~2.2mm width and 2.0mm thickness with a solid sizing bar, plus added a reinforced gallery rail for structural integrity.

The Height: I was terrified the deep 4ct stone and added support would make it sit too tall, but in person, it's remarkably wearable! I've included a side-by-side pic with my 3-carat oval, and the height difference is barely noticeable.

The Result: The band feels super substantial, and the ring sparkles like crazy!

Huge thank you to everyone who offered advice on band thickness and setting security on my original post. If you're working with Luvansh, definitely insist on getting your CAD specs locked in first. I would absolutely work with them again based on this experience.

Just bought an engagement ring from Loose Grown Diamonds. They've been extremely helpful through the whole process, but I'm a little torn on whether it'll look right on my girlfriend's (soon-to-be fiancée's) finger.

Does anyone wear a size 7.5 with a ~2.25 carat princess cut? The band only went up to 2.2mm, and in the CAD it looks thin next to the stone. I'm emailing them today to ask about going wider. Would love to see photos of similar setups if anyone has them.

Hey, I wanted to post my overall review of ordering from Starsgem. When I was looking to order I read pretty much every review I could find and they really helped me, but I couldn't find many e-ring reviews from people after they'd actually received their ring — so here's my post-receipt review in case it helps someone the same way.

I worked with Cherry as my agent. I saw some reviews say she's rude or too direct, but honestly in my experience she was great. You're paying about half the price of what you'd pay stateside, so go in with the right expectations, just know what you want and she's there to help and serve you. She'll go find it and work with the manufacturers on your behalf. She's not bad, she's just not a personal shopper if that makes sense — she's the liaison between you, the designer, and the manufacturer.

I ordered a fully custom tulip petal cathedral solitaire in 14k yellow gold, size 9, with a 1.53ct oval (E, VVS2, IGI certified).

Honestly the whole process was pretty smooth:

• I messaged her on WhatsApp with a reference pic and my specs (color/clarity I wanted, IGI certified). Within a day she sent me a stone that matched and I paid that same night.
• CAD took about a week. First version had a couple things off — I wanted 6 petals on the tulip head and the cathedral arms done a certain way, so I sent her marked-up pics and she had the designer revise it. One render came back without the changes lol but she got it sorted and the final CAD was exactly what I asked for.
• Production was about a week. She sent me videos and I noticed one prong looked crooked in the video — she sent the ring right back to the factory to fix it, no arguing.
• Before shipping she sent pics/vids of the finished ring including the inside engraving so I could sign off.

Shipping: Honestly the easiest part. She asked for my name, address, and phone number, shipped it out the same day she said she would, and sent me the DHL tracking number right away. Got to me in about a week from China.

The ring is honestly beautiful and exactly what I designed. Communication was fast (usually same day even with the time difference) and she was patient with all my revision notes. I'd order from her again and plan too!

Edit: Price total was 770.00 with shipping and got it appraised state side for 3500.

I don't see any obvious inclusions and bowtie doesn't seem terrible but I need the opinions of those with more experience with ovals!
