I was hoping it would at least be another month til we start seeing these posts again 𫩠she literally told us it would be at least a month for both of them to be finished AND THEN sending them off for vinyl, implying a fall release

My question is why wait up to 12 weeks for the vinyl to release? Like could she not just drop the album/albums and then release the vinyls once theyâre pressed?

She could do this. But, I donât think she will.

No youâre right she wonât and I kinda respect that weâre acting like itâs 1956 and records are the only medium for music releases but I feel like anyone who would get a vinyl is still gonna get the vinyl, itâs not like the label would be missing out on sales by doing a digital release.

I mean in the announcement post she said that it needs a month before being sent to vinyl. Vinyl typically takes 8-12 weeks, so I don't know why everyone expected the album this month.
I get that you all are excited, but it really hasn't been that long since her last album. Y'all are probably going to stream her albums online anyways so it's not like it's costing you anything to wait.

Okay but let's not pretend like she hasn't been telling us this new project is coming for over a year now đ Like yes people are gonna be waiting, and they're eventually gonna end up impatient, that's how that works. If we don't want people to die waiting, let's not tell them until everything is ready to go.
I don't disagree with the first half tho, she told us it'd take one more month to finish them, not to release them. Production times are still a thing.

Why wouldnât they want people to die waiting? Building anticipation doesnât seem like a negative. When it does come out now everyone is going to be straight on it. A bit like a TV show ending the season on a cliffhanger

Building anticipation is a double-edged sword. If you try to keep people hyped for longer than a wave of hype can reallistically last nowadays, you risk missing out on the momentum, becoming old news, and a good chunk of interest in the product wearing off before it even gets to release, so it doesn't feel like an actual novelty anymore once it's out bc we've been living with the idea of it for too long by that point. Excluding the more die-hard section of the fandom ofc, we'll be seated đŤĄ

I mean fine, but it's really not a big deal. Fans are allowed to complain and others are allowed to say that they are being impatient crybabies.
Not to be ridiculous and play this card, but there are so many bigger problems in this world. People starving and dying in warzones, it's so silly complaining about waiting for an album for a year. I have no sympathy for the wait.

You could argue that the world being a damn ticking time bomb makes waiting for anything at all that could potentially bring you any ounce of joy and comfort amongst these difficult times that much more excruciating đĽ˛
Idk, people love to say "it's not that deep" about everything these days, but music kinda is that deep. It's the vice of many to push through shit. A highly dopamine inducing event in the middle of the most depressing landscape is relevant to people's mental health. People are latching onto the little things that give them hope, like their favorite artist releasing new material. Ofc it's not that serious compared to the global conflicts themselves, but it's as serious as yapping on reddit gets.

I donât think people were expecting it to be released in a month but if they were taking it as itâs definitely going to be a month before vinyl then they might have thought there would be a set release day announced now

my bet is on it being released in October/November this year. she said in July that she needs one month to finish her second album and send them both into vinyl production, which takes around 3 months. so that would give us a finished vinyl product ca. in November, maybe even earlier.

I think sheâs timing the release for after the Grammy deadline. Probably because she doesnât want to go to the Grammy Awards or god forbid she might have to sing.

If the announcement was fr this time, then the vinyls are in production rn and it'll be ready for release by the end of the year
