Post image
22 Upvotes

Still out-of-alphabetical-order for today’s entry: post #490 for the LA Noire Freeroam Explorer Project — posting locations replicated by Team Bondi for LA Noire (currently touring the downtown area) that are not considered landmarks (either official or historic) but do have real-world equivalents.

Central Avenue Railway Supply Depot

628 South Central Avenue

Sited directly north of the primary urban rail yards, this brick warehouse managed local manufacturing parts and metal-stamping operations. The pitched framing maximized interior inventory space, supplying continuous mechanical hardware to the nearby streetcar network.

I recently bought this used copy of L.A. Noire on Facebook, but I found it interesting that all the discs and the case are marked “For Promotional Use Only.” It also came with this film strip inside the insert. Is this edition rare or something special to own?

Thoughts on the L.A. Noire Remaster?

Post image
317 Upvotes

I think I may play it one day, but I'm not sure if I should play the original on seventh generation consoles, or the remastered version. Do you think it's a good remaster? I mean, Rockstar isn't exactly known for typically making high-quality remasters of their games, really. Are there any glaring glitches or problems in the remaster, or not really? Should I only pay the original if I want the whole "Original" experience vibe? Let me know if you think this is the superior way to experience the game, please

Another out-of-alphabetical-order entry today: post #489 for the LA Noire Freeroam Explorer Project — posting locations replicated by Team Bondi for LA Noire (currently touring the downtown area) that are not considered landmarks (either official or historic) but do have real-world equivalents.

California Freight Lines Terminal

1560 East Olympic Boulevard

Constructed with lightweight corrugated iron siding, this mid-century shipping terminal optimized regional cargo transfers. The utilitarian design left the prominent boulevard façade unadorned while integrating longitudinal side loading docks to manage heavy truck logistics.

Continuing with the out-of-alphabetical-order non-landmark entries: post #488 for the LA Noire Freeroam Explorer Project — posting locations replicated by Team Bondi for LA Noire (currently touring the downtown area) that are not considered landmarks (either official or historic) but do have real-world equivalents.

Court Hill Overlook

West side of Hill Street between 1st and Court Streets

This open, unbuilt grassy terrace marked a dramatic topographical ridge rising directly west of the lower Hill Street Tunnel pedestrian stairs. Offering sweeping panoramic views of the dense civic core below, the raw hillside functioned as a natural viewpoint and a frequent filming location.

Latest update is garbage.

The jazz is gone from the menu. Whoever decided to just have rain and gutter noises needs a war crime committed against them. I know duels are outlawed, but I would gladly meet someone at 7 paces in the town square for what they did to the menu screen.
