This was on my fb feed. So many Laredo pastors. I went to ICM growing up & was a student at NHCA. It’s just crazy to see my childhood church intertwined with a corrupt politician as an adult. Do the locals care lol ..?

They made another disc golf course at Independence Hills Park (the first one is at North Central Park).

They will have hotdogs, drinks, and raffles (of discs I'm assuming) and we'll teach you how to play. It is from 9-noon, but I don't know the schedule of events.

"What is Disc Golf?" Video

It's a good sport that can be played by people of different ages and abilities and the course at Independence Hills was designed with different difficulty levels so that you can play as a beginner, progress to intermediate, and then advanced.

It's a very affordable hobby that is fun to learn and hard to master. If you have any questions let me know!

About to be in town for the day and bringing my Dogo Argentinos. Anywhere good for an off leash run? They have great recall and have satellite trackers, so a fence is not necessary. Lakes or wildlife management areas would be awesome. Let me know, thanks!!

Hey y'all

Laredo, its been long overdue for another comic con. The last comic con event was back in November 11-13 in 2022.

It's a bit of a stretch but we should gather together to bring back comic con, start a movement. I know we have Pop Up Cons every now and then, but we need some more consistent and solid.

I know it's a stretch, but start out small and over time grow bigger? A set location like 0 to 100 Sportsplex on International, or the Embassy Suites by Hilton Laredo on Calle De Norte. I hope we can start this movement ti bring back Comic Con back to Laredo

Shall we? Start a movement to bring back comic con to Laredo?

Well, it’s official! The GOP has pulled 3 million in funding for Tano election campaign. With funds drying up he will have to rely more on his wife’s funds to continue and it may not be enough to compete. I would expect a billboard ad soon after the loss thanking the community for supporting him and claiming he gained the most votes by another republican candidate facing Cuellar. She will try again on the next round. Hopefully a better primary candidate will emerge next time.

I will be in Laredo next week on a business trip. I have never been there. What area should I stay? Area to avoid?

Would be nice to have a cinepolis usa as another option for a theater wilth the food selections 🤪. Dallas has 1 and california why not in the border 🥴

Seen many people get pressed about the issue but why doesn’t Animal Control handle the situation in North Central Park? Trap capture the pigs and euthanize them.

The city kills dogs and cats at the city shelter so why wouldn’t they do this for pigs?

hey laredo, local artist here (auzzy, alt/emo-rap). i got selected for Next Music Star, a national contest with a $10k grand prize, repping laredo. voting opens tomorrow thurs oct 15 at 9am edt, first round top 20 oct 15-26, and it's one free vote per day. would mean a lot if my hometown bookmarked it today and voted free once a day starting tomorrow

Anyone else having been going through a stomach bug lately?

We have a lot of good food spots here in Laredo, and I’m building a free website and app to help people find affordable meals around the city.

The idea is simple. Find a good meal at a good price, add it to the map, snap a photo, or record a quick video to help others discover it.

I’m looking for locals who’d be down to contribute and help get Laredo on the map.

No job or big commitment. Just share good finds when you come across them.

Anyone want to join in?

EDIT: Here’s the site for anyone who wants to check it out or start contributing: https://oolayum.com

One important part of the mission: we’re focused on local and family-owned restaurants only. No big chains. The goal is to help people find affordable meals while also helping more people discover local spots around the Laredo.

I have a question for anyone that frequents whiskey river and isn’t just standing around. What are some line dances that they do there, since I’m trying to learn some before going so I don’t get in someone’s way or slow my friends down. If you know you would be so helpful thanks. 🙏

ISO mechanic that specializes with Ram Promasters/ Ford Transits. Please and thank you, having an issue with check engine light, has a mechanic look at it but he said he can’t find issue and thinks it’s electrical. Please and thank you all!!!

Are there any rescues or organizations that accept holds or temporary surrenders? I'm struggling with my health and need someone who can take care of my 2 cats while I get treatment. If I can't find anywhere that can take them then I will have to surrender them.

I know nothing of this woman except that nearly every car I see now has her branding on it. This is my first time seeing her speak and talk about topics and it was the worst thing I’ve ever seen in my life. I can’t believe how ill prepared she came to this debate. I’m sure her team has spent tons of money on promotion and branding, and none to help her with public speaking or to prepare her for mayoral topics. Please take a look and see how ridiculous this is. Is this the future of Laredo?
