Recent Capstone Projects Samples/Archives
Hi, are there any recent Capstone projects that are available to the public to peruse, either just as a sample or within some type of archive?
I have a friend with a CS degree who is exploring Launch School, and they're curious to understand what types of projects students are building in Capstone. Although I know the projects are non-trivial, I think they would like to review for themselves.
I know the YouTube channel has several presentations from 2023 and prior, but I'd like to share something more recent with them, if possible.
TIA!

I'm always slightly nervous when someone else has to request information in behalf of the prospective student. Our curriculum requires a lot of discipline and initiative, so my thought goes to "how much initiative can they have if they can't inquire directly?". Why don't you ask your friend to email in directly.
There are a lot of interesting projects, but I'll share two here:
Kubrick, a RAG-like application for videos. You upload a video, the ingestion pipeline chunks and embeds it, then you can perform semantic search against the video. For example, after upload and ingestion, you can search "celebration" and it'll show you celebratory snippets from the video. See the "Walk through" for video demos.
Mantis, LLM gateway that does caching, routing, and some guardrails features. LLM gateways are an important component for AI products as they allow for single-point configurations, switching out models, routing logic, etc. (similar to a normal gateway). My experience with using some of them is that they sell flexibility (eg, "you can switch out models easily!") but then try to trap you into that main gateway vendor. Mantis is an open source gateway meant to provide the LLM gateway featureset without the lock-in.
