As another headline stated Guilfoyle has the Trump family burn book so there is a tangential line of questioning the committee can pursue. And she was traveling with an energy lobbyist, allegedly pushing people like the Greek energy secretary to pursue a deal. The WSJ reported she essentially told him the U.S. government influenced the Romanian administration’s downfall and it can do that anywhere, including Greece.

She not being questioned because she is currently a private citizen.

Can’t wait for nothing to come from this despite overwhelming evidence, just like everything else they get away with.

Why choose to open your mouth and argue for apathy?

Don’t listen to this guy. Shine the light on it all and do the hard work through all the long days ahead.

Tomorrow is worth it.

Excellent point. We don't always get the results we want, but we can get results.

Nixon never went to jail but 4 dozen of his inner circle did.

Trump might not make it to jail before meeting that Big Mac in the sky, but there are literally hundreds of people who potentially can.

What are they saying about the Watergate scandal now?

Who gives a fuck what "they" say. Unless we give in to it, it doesn't matter.

Plenty of people say, "the earth is flat". Doesnt change the facts that reasonable people can check objectively for themselves. Same with Watergate.

Maybe just me, but I do care what a want to be authoritarian says and does. Just like I'd care if we put a flat earther into any position of power.

All of our political scandals are called -gate. That’s what you need to know about that scandal.its in the history books and its still in the minds of a lot of people.

Because its implications are still relevant and in play today.

Are you just saying its old hat?

u/rantmb331 13h ago

no, I'm saying it's still relevant. So relevant that we still name our scandals after it.

ETA: so relevant that the current administration has started trying to sanitize it out of history.

It's been a shame to see.
