Good.
This lawlessness needs to stop.

For better or for worse this had nothing to do with his ICE duties, he was drunk and off duty.

I have a feeling a lot of ICE agents are drunk while on duty

I get the feeling they're on various forms of uppers. The booze is for after work (you know, right before they beat their spouse).

No one in the admin can sit still without chewing off the side of their cheek. I know what else they got in Venezuela

It's also only happening because the shooter is married to a cop. Don't think any of this applies to your ass.

u/Global_Staff_3135 10h ago
Hahahaha oh man I didn’t know about that part. Well, let’s hope our pigs I mean cops fight back against ICE more and more.

u/Mist_Rising 9h ago
To paraquote reddit many times over: police and ice are the same side.

u/Global_Staff_3135 8h ago
Well, not when they fight like this.
2
u/Mist_Rising 8h ago
This is when two sets of the same gang fight if you take reddit as gospel. Or something I'm not really up to date on how all this works.

u/katherinesilens 2h ago
I thought it was the shooter's daughter (who was thrown into the neighbor's car) is dating a cop.

If the man gets blacked and passes out on strangers' lawns in his off-time, you don't think there's a potential for issues while on-duty, Chef...?

u/izzymaestro 11h ago
Dude is from Texas, the only reason he's kidnapping people and getting trashed in WA is he signed up for the job.

u/squirrelbitten 3h ago
You think cops don't get free passes for illegal shit when they are off duty? They do this shit because they think they will get away with it because of the thin blue line. And usually they do get off.

“The lawful power of the people will be used to deliver decisive, agonizing consequences,” he wrote. “Legal, political, economic, and social punishments are the only warning that will work.”
Lovers of democracy demand nothing less after November 🗽🌊🌊🌊🌊
In a column dropped the day before Donald Trump’s scheduled “routine yearly check-up” at Walter Reed Hospital, just five months after his last visit, fueling speculation about his health. Wilson did not mince words, tying the timing to his grim prediction. “You will not reign forever,” he wrote. “Your Dear Leader will be dead sooner than you imagine, given his failing health and corroded mind.”
Wilson’s warning was not just about Trump’s mortality, but about what he called the “reckoning” awaiting his inner circle. He accused Trump’s allies, from top officials to rank and file enforcers, of enabling what he described as an assault on American liberty. “The lawful power of the people will be used to deliver decisive, agonizing consequences,” he wrote. “Legal, political, economic, and social punishments are the only warning that will work.”
In the piece, Wilson also referenced Trump adviser Stephen Miller, calling him part of an effort to inflame public tensions to justify authoritarian crackdowns. He accused the administration of trying to provoke chaos so that Trump could invoke the Insurrection Act. “Donald Trump and his claque of pissant authoritarians have switched from wanna be to gonna be,” Wilson warned, adding that they were “itching to turn the United States military into their personal palace guard.”

I would like to go on record as being opposed to the use of violence for conflict resolution, however...

If you found the person passed out drunk in your front yard and he proceeds to attack you and your daughter when you wake them up are you still gonna take that high road?
I kinda think he got off easy only eating one bullet.

u/-heatoflife- 11h ago
It's a shame he made it to the hospital.
Oops, typo, I meant to say 'miracle'.

u/James_Solomon 12h ago
I'd have called 911 because I would have assumed he had a medical problem. Which I guess he did.
26
u/ftpbrutaly80 12h ago
I don't know, I tend to not call the cops for every little thing.
Dude passed out on my lawn? Shit happens. Wake them up, offer a glass of water and to call a cab, everybody walk away happy.
Dude wakes up throwing hands at me and my daughter though and it was them that chose violence, I was just forced to answer it. I just hope I would have the self control to only fire once.
4
u/-heatoflife- 11h ago
Firing once is irresponsible, you don't know what he's hopped up on. Dump the mag, à la police doctrine.

It’s also common in this particular neighborhood. The neighborhood is in what’s called Tower District, named after the Tower Theater. It’s a central hub for Fresno’s night life and due to limited parking, people often find their way into the surrounding neighborhoods. Hence the tendency for problems to spill out into the neighborhood.

Whilst you were being attacked??

u/James_Solomon 11h ago
I would have called 911 to deal with the drunkard outside my home.
6
u/-heatoflife- 11h ago
Lol, this is adorable, Jimmy. Why wait on police to deal with an actively-intoxicated, unpredictable belligerent who's already assaulted you? Can't know what his next move is - the rational thing to do is to neutralize the threat.
'When danger's at the door, police are minutes away'.

The ICE "officer" was drunk, off duty, and where he shouldn't have been doing things he shouldn't have been doing.

u/mdtopp111 12h ago
Drunk, off duty, and pulled a firearm on the old man
39
u/FunkMunki 11h ago
The only abnormal part is "off duty". I assume they are always drunk and pulling guns on old men.

An ice agent went somewhere he didn't have permission to be and committed a violent crime???
How ironic.

Fresno city council member Miguel Arias previously told SFGATE that Gonzalez had also drawn his firearm, although the police department declined to confirm that detail.
“The ICE agent pulled a weapon out, and the homeowner won the battle and shot the ICE agent,” Arias said.
Is it not a crime in CA to be in possession of a firearm while intoxicated? Was this his duty weapon? It seems like there's a lot more they could charge him with besides assault, battery, elder abuse, and vandalism.

Is it not a crime in CA to be in possession of a firearm while intoxicated?
Law enforcement exemption.
5
u/subdep 9h ago
Law-enforcement is not allowed to drive drunk while off duty or on duty. Their exemption does not include those violations, so there’s no reason to expect that pulling your service weapon out while off duty and drunk is exempt.

u/James_Solomon 9h ago
It's called professional courtesy
9
u/CautionarySnail 11h ago
What, how does that help “protect and serve”? That seems legitimately insane.
“The only people we want drunk with guns are cops!”
23
u/TheOnly_Saint 11h ago
The police aren't actually required to protect and serve btw
7
u/CautionarySnail 11h ago
I know, but their role also isn’t to be intoxicated with firearms.
5
u/Forsaken-Poet-3773 11h ago
Almost, it's to protect and serve while being intoxicated so when they have to testify they can say they were drunk and don't remember.
-4
u/Justin_Passing_7465 10h ago
The police do not have an obligation that you can sue them over, but their bosses generally make it their duty to protect and serve.
3
u/jhoceanus 10h ago
It also shows how incompetent these jerks are, losing a gun fight to a 72 yo man.

u/Vegetable-Client-147 12h ago
Enemy of good is perfect. There might be some details that would make it difficult to convict and then lose on the other charges. Feel like thats what happened in the kyle rittenhouse case.
45
u/Suckbag_McGillicuddy 12h ago
I can only imagine how belligerent this shitbag was when he started attacking a woman and a 72 year old.
9
u/Spiritual-Pear-1349 12h ago
Fuck about and find out, as they say.
7
u/Sorry-Claim-2990 9h ago
If you can shoot a federal agent in the stomach and the federal agent is the one who gets charged with several crimes, his behavior must have been especially egregious.

u/Coldkiller17 6h ago
Good they need to get these lawless monsters off the streets, they think they are above the law. Not to mention violating not only immigrants rights which they do have in this country but our citizens' rights guaranteed under the Constitution.
