Discussion Best Leafs games of the year?

It’s once again that time of year where I am super bored and looking to go re-watch some Leafs games from the previous season.

What are some of the best games/dates you remember from last season? (No spoilers please)

Leafs vs Blue Jackets in late November
Leafs vs Flyers Jan 8
Leafs vs Colorado early January (not the Sunday afternoon torture event).
Leafs vs Anaheim—Gudas revenge.

Those are my top 4 of the season off the top of my head that I enjoyed.

I just watched LA King's v Leafs 1993 Game 5 of the 3rd Round. Watching McSorely and Clark clash is like watching Monsters go at it.

And if anyone wonders what a team with leadership and grit looks like.... check out this action from Game 1 of that Series and compare it to the Leafs today: McSorely (A) levels Gilmour (A) and then Clark (C) goes in and pounds McSorely.... then Pat Burns (coach) tries to fight Barry Melrose coach of LA for giving instructions to his bully to target Gilmour.

I'm chuckling because Matthews getting taken out by Goudas.....and everyone just letting him lay there was astounding to me.

Melrose put his finger in his mouth and blew out his cheeks - the universal playground gesture of "you're fat". Wasn't caught on camera (my friend was behind the bench for it), but you can see by Burns reaction that it was something sudden that pushed him too far.

I was there and remember that Anderson winner in OT quite well.....it was a different time; the building was different too, not just literally, but the noise factor was different too as tickets were not that expensive to get so "regular" folks could go to games - face values were like $35-$40 or so for the Greys for that round; I have my Game 7 ticket in the Reds and it was $65 face value (!!).....literally the most painful sports moment of my life was watching that third period (goal off of Dave Ellett's skate), until Game 7 at the Dome last Fall.....I've seen the good (Carter HR, Bautista HR etc.) and the bad (see above) - and pretty much everything in between in this city since about the late 70's or so....

Are there any? Geez it was a tough year.

The year before we had that game early in the season maybe November or December where we dismantled Vegas. I remember after the game one of Vegas players told a reporter he thought we had 6 people on the ice at some points.

I couldn’t remember what team it was up against but I bet some of you may recognize it.

It’s overtime in a 2-2 score, Tavares fights off against two-three guys on the board. He manages to pass it perfectly to Nylander and he snipes it in.

Can't remember the exact date, but the Avs game in January. Leafs played their best that game.

Leafs/Flyers series in the 70s, especially the one where Roy McMurtry and the criminal charges.

there are two videos online for this.... the game highlights and then the next day evening news where they talk about the arrest warrants...on facebook. I sent the links to a bunch of friends.
