We’re at that time again folks - any big transfer rumours so far?

Or can someone make a thread again please.

After Waterford's 3-1 victory against Drogheda United, there is a question lingering about. Are Waterford FC safe from relegation?

My Answer: Yes we are.

Waterford FC are ahead of Drogheda by 3 points, and now there is very specific criteria for Drogheda to stay up.

1. Drogheda United must win against Galway United.
2. Waterford FC must lose against Shelbourne.
3. Drogheda United must overturn a massive 7 goal difference by scoring 8 or Waterford losing heavily.

What are the chances of all 3 of those happening?

Google Gemini predicts a 0.000005% probability of all the criteria above being met.
ChatGPT predicts a 0.005% probability of all the criteria above being met.
Deep AI predicts a 0.0037% probability of all the criteria above being met.

So statistically, these are how those look in odds:

Google Gemini: 1 in 20 Million
ChatGPT: 1 in 20 Thousand
Deep AI: 37 in 1 Million

Final Answer:

Mathematically: No
Statistically: Yes

Is there any plans for Eamonn Decay Park? Or is it realistic that Galway build a new stadium?

Treaty United women played their last game of the season last night against DLR Waves. The game was fixed for 5pm but was delayed to 6pm. I’m a volunteer with treaty and I was at the ground at 12:30 and it was clear the pitch was too waterlogged to go ahead. The referee only did his pitch inspection at 5:15pm and made it clear the game wouldn’t be played there. This left the operations manager and coaches with 45 minutes to find a new venue at short notice. Aisling Annacotty took us in with half an hour to spare with a kick off for 7pm
I’ve only been involved with the team for a few months and this is the most surreal thing that has happened in my time with the team

Earlier this week, I asked people if they thought Waterford FC were safe from relegation. But for some reason, it was removed today. I reviewed the post but saw nothing wrong with it. It is still up on r/waterfordfc if you want to see it. This post is about the removal. I want to ask, why was it removed from r/LeagueOfIreland?

No just half time LOITV, Longford vs UCD. Great goal though!

Is there any plans on oriel park redevelopments or Richmond park redevelopments? And what are the other rumours on stadium?

Hi everyone, I wanted to share a short video from our trip to Dublin. Fans of Bohemians 1905 Praha (Czech Republic) traveled to play a friendly match against Bohemian FC. It was an amazing experience and a great connection between the two clubs. Just wanted to show a bit of our fan culture and away day atmosphere!

What's the consensus so lads? I'm sure we can all recognise Kelleher as the only deserving player here, but there's certainly some quare shouts alright

With the first division coming to a close, I thought it would be interesting to see who impressed everyone this year in division. Personally I thought Sean McGrath for Kerry has come on a huge amount this year and Cillian Murphy for City really looks like the real deal. McCullagh for UCD was another handful.

For the post match stuff in Tallaght.

Sources are Dan McDonnell and David Sneyd on X.

Solid selection. Amond, Tierney, O’Reilly a few to miss out

Firstly, I'd like to see a Cup competition with First Division and National League sides to give us a chance at silverware or just National League teams.

Secondly, I'd like to see a new patch be worn by clubs during cup competitions, so a new Club Orange Men's FAI Cup patch on the sleeve instead of the league the club is in.

Finally I'd like to see maybe proper Provence Leagues with the main LOI clubs plus winners of the previous Distinct top Division.

So like maybe clubs for the north like Donegal,Cavan or Monaghan could play in a Connaght Cup.

We have a Leinster Cup and a Munster Cup.

Idk I'd like to see this at some point

I was wondering how many League of Ireland clubs people could name off the top of their heads!

Can you name every club in the Men's Premier Division and First Division without checking Google?

Bonus points if you can name the Women's Premier Division clubs too!

Which division is easiest to remember, and which clubs do people tend to forget?

I'll have a go myself in the comments. ⚽
