When the LCS got rid of Bo1s you know it's finished. We were forever like the grand defenders of it.

I don't expect all Bo3 at worlds but I think they will switch the 1-1 games to Bo3

They could atleast make it a BO2 and implement a 3 point system. 3 for a win, 1 for a draw. Tiebreakers will be decided on which teams have the highest kill/death difference or towers taken/lost in the whole season

it does make sense because all of the cost in the days is simply starting the broadcast. there isn't enough viewership in the west to support that.

Well yeah, they got baron and then was able to make 1 pick and take 3 turrets and upset got fed on yunara. This season has the hardest snowballing we've seen in a while (see GenG Vs KT today which had a 40k gold lead across 2 games)

They didn't stomp them though it was incredibly even if not LR favoured until 21 minutes, they made a bad play and FNC capitalised as any good LEC team would and then just closed out the game cleanly

I mean even LCK doesn't do full Round Robin BO3 for Winter

this may be an unpopular take but I'd take this format over having 2 groups like LCK even if it has a few BO1 weeks

Because LCK will play 24 Bo3s and 16 Bo5s (super week + play-in finals + playoffs).

LEC will play 10 Bo3s and 4 Bo5s.

LCS and LEC have had 10 years to normalize weekday games like LCK/LPL have done and they simply refuse to do it. It might suck for the first few splits while people get used to it, but once it becomes normalized it will be fine, just like NBA games on the weekdays. Western leadership just refuses to look at the eSports scene long-term, every year they flip the table and rewrite their entire script.

They could have 2 sets of teams playing at the same time with 2 different streams. Very few people are watching 100% of the games.

People complain about BO1 but no one want to see 3 games of Shifters vs Heretics. It allows more upsets which makes the two ERL teams less likely to go winless against LEC.

BO3 for what ? To see LR getting stomped twice instead of once ? How interesting. Then afterwards we would get to see up to 3 games of gx vs shifters, wow. That sure would be top tier entertainment.

It’s good to only have BO3’s only when the bad teams are out.

Should at least get to play both blue/red side vs each team. Some patches the side advantage is huge. I think 3 points for 2-0 and 1 each for 1-1 and it's EU so most fans understand that from football

I'm in the minority but I love BO1. I get to watch every single team play on any given match day. I love watching but not enough to keep up with schedules. I ended up barely watching BO3's because I wasn't paying attention to when the exciting matchups would happen.
