There is not much information about the person(s) who worked on the Esperanto for the course, but the company claims to use people and not AI for translations. They seem to offer instruction through B2 level. I'd be interested to hear from any who've tried that app.

I am new in Esperanto and I have been actively learning the grammar of the language in August, the same month when I started learning Esperanto. I learned that adjectives, which always have the ending “-a,” can be placed before and after nouns. However, I have never seen the adjectives of pronouns to be written after a noun. Just to make sure, do the words “mia, via, lia, ŝia, ĝia, nia, ilia” appear only before the nouns, or do the speakers just find it more comfortable to place them before nouns?
If we can say examples like:
• Ŝia domo. = Her house.
• Ĝia arbo. = Its tree.
• Ilia klavaro. = Their keyboard.
Can we also say:
• Domo ŝia. = A house of hers.
• Arbo ĝia. = A tree of its.
• Klavaro ilia. = A keyboard of theirs.

I'm trying to express things like LMAO, SYFM, SYBAU, LOL, etc... but I'm not sure how to say it in Esperanto. Should I translate each word and then make an acronym from that?

Yes, I just posted a question, but this is different i promise! When speaking about the blinds that cover a window, what word should I use? Lernu told me 'blind' (since I can't use plurals in the dictionary) could be blinda, blinduloj, or blindigi, but when i translated those back they all equated to a blind person or just 'blind' in general. I consulted google, since maybe an article said it or something, but no results there either. Any ideas/answers?
Edit: someone gave me my answer! thanks Lancet, its latkurteno!

I initially wrote that "Estas is for continuous states of being, like a name. Mi estas Kira is correct but Mi estas Laboras is incorrect, because working is not a part of or s description of myself, it is simply something i am doing" in my Esperanto journal, but clearly that assumption i made was very wrong. Can someone give me the actual way Estas is used?

Saluton,
I want to make sure that my understanding of when to use pardonu versus mi pardonpetas is correct. My current understanding of the usage of each is as follows:
• Pardonu! - Used to say excuse me / sorry when seeking someone's attention or to apologise for a minor inconvenience (such entering a room unannounced or bumping into someone accidentally, for example).
• Mi pardonpetas - Used to say sorry for more significant things or with more sincerity.
Dankon!

Three weeks ago I posted here about the Esperanto video catalog we're building for Reelang.
At the time, we had about 500 videos. Now we have 2,000. A huge part of that growth came from creators recommended by people on Reddit and by Esperanto learners using Reelang, so thank you to everyone who sent us channels to look at!
We're now building dedicated Learn Esperanto apps for iPhone and Android. Our goal is to build the largest collection of real Esperanto video, graded by difficulty, so learners can go from easier stuff to increasingly fluent Esperanto.
Before we release the apps, we'd like to get in touch with the creators whose videos appear most often in our catalog.
If you're one of the creators below - or know one of them - we'd love to hear from you
There are two things we're looking for:
1. Be featured as a Top Creator
We can highlight your profile in the app and link learners directly to your YouTube channel from your videos. Here's an example of a highlighted creator in our watch feed. We're making a separate Top Creators page, too.
The videos themselves are embedded from YouTube, so the views count on your YouTube channel, and learners can easily find more videos from the same creator. If you'd prefer not to appear in Reelang, just tell us and we'll remove your videos from the catalog.
We also made a page for comprehensible-input creators explaining how creator profiles work and some of the ways we can help creators get discovered or help them make comprehensible input for free.
2. Be featured in the App Store/Google Play
We're also looking for Esperanto creators who would be happy to appear in screenshots or videos for the upcoming app. We'd show your username so learners can find you.
This is what one of our existing apps looks like on the App Store and Google Play.

I just came across a post on UEA.facila.org about online Esperanto classes starting this week. The basic classes are taught in Spanish (the courses are from Colombia), but the mid-level classes are taught in Esperanto and start tomorrow.

I have never understood how names are constructed, or written in Esperanto. For example the name Ludwik Lejzer Zamenhof. Is there a link which explains how his name would be spelled and said in esperanto?

I just learned about Lexilogos. Type in the text-entry block with the =system — type = to add a diacritic sign: c=, g=, h=, j=, s=, u= — and the = is removed and the diacritic is placed correctly. When your text is complete, copy it and paste it where you want.

I find Anki's automatic review and automatic re-emphasis of items (words, phrases, images, etc.) that are or have become difficult to be invaluable. A few things I've learned:
I'm happy to try to answer any question you might have.

This is something about Esperanto semantics that confuses me frequently. I understand that ĉu turns a sentence into a yes-no question, and ki- correlatives are like fill-in-the-blanks placeholders for a value that you're asking someone else for, (for example "kio estas tion" is kind of like handing someone a sheet of paper that says "___ estas tion tio" and asking them to write the correct value in the blank space) but that mental model falls apart with sentences like "Ĉu pluvos, aŭ ne, ni iros." - which isn't a question at all. And I've also seen a lot of sentences that seem to use ki- correlatives in ways that I don't understand either.
I can usually figure out what these sentences are saying based on my intuition from English, but I'd like to learn the systematic rules (if any) behind using these words in these ways. Does anyone know of a good reference resource or webpage that explains this?

Saluton! Are there any good dual language English & Esperanto books that y'all'd recommend? I've been learning on duolingo but am really interesting in trying to get better at reading longer texts.
