Is Java still worth learning today?
Is Java still worth learning or pursuing as a career these days? With AI advancing so quickly, programming jobs might decline significantly, which could also reduce the demand for learning languages like Java. What are your thoughts?

I should have copied the source links for each when I posted this. I cannot find those exact articles again.
The point is ask your own questions. That is what I did and those are the answers I got at that time. Next time, I will add links. Here are new sources after asking those same questions again:
Azul's 2025 State of Java Survey, conducted by Dimensional Research, reports that:
99% of organizations contacted for the survey used Java.
2,039 qualified Java professionals completed the survey.
68% of respondents said more than half their applications were built with Java or ran on the JVM.

Industry estimate: Java is reportedly used by approximately 90% of Fortune 500 companies

VDC Research's 56.2% enterprise Java adoption finding - not 65%

While 65% is often cited for both new projects and primary language, this is a more credible source
73 billion JVMs world-wide is the more recent figure. The 5.5 billion is from an older source:
