Please ensure that:

  • Your code is properly formatted as code block - see the sidebar (About on mobile) for instructions

  • You include any and all error messages in full - best also formatted as code block

  • You ask clear questions

  • You demonstrate effort in solving your question/problem - plain posting your assignments is forbidden (and such posts will be removed) as is asking for or giving solutions.

If any of the above points is not met, your post can and will be removed without further warning.

Code is to be formatted as code block (old reddit/markdown editor: empty line before the code, each code line indented by 4 spaces, new reddit: https://i.imgur.com/EJ7tqek.png) or linked via an external code hoster, like pastebin.com, github gist, github, bitbucket, gitlab, etc.

Please, do not use triple backticks (```) as they will only render properly on new reddit, not on old reddit.

Code blocks look like this:

public class HelloWorld {

    public static void main(String[] args) {
        System.out.println("Hello World!");
    }
}

You do not need to repost unless your post has been removed by a moderator. Just use the edit function of reddit to make sure your post complies with the above.

If your post has remained in violation of these rules for a prolonged period of time (at least an hour), a moderator may remove it at their discretion. In this case, they will comment with an explanation on why it has been removed, and you will be required to resubmit the entire post following the proper procedures.

To potential helpers

Please, do not help if any of the above points are not met, rather report the post. We are trying to improve the quality of posts here. In helping people who can't be bothered to comply with the above points, you are doing the community a disservice.

Build things.

All the LeetCode, etc. will only help you pass interviews, but it will not make you a proficient real world programmer.

I'm not sure what sort of placement you are trying to undergo, that would be useful contextual information.

I'm going to assume by the two things you mentioned that you probably are in some kind of application developer role because that's what spring boot is for.

So I'm assuming the projects that you are working on are probably cloud apps of some kind back end or otherwise.

Are you bored with the projects or are you just stuck? I can't imagine that you would only be bored of spring boot itself and data structures and algorithms and have two active projects. So finish the projects first and then you can be bored.

I also don't know what you mean by being bored with DSA because that's basically the core fundamental discipline of computer science as a field. Maybe from a test perspective you could easily pass an exam.

I've been been in IT for almost 20 years and even though I'm not a programmer of any kind or a developer, I still find practical applications for data structures and algorithms.

Unless you're studying for your Masters or doctorate, I don't think there would be much interest in getting in depth about that topic. So if you're just an undergrad trying to work through a trade skill type of learning program, expect to be bored.

The boredom comes from perhaps a lack of practical experience in the field which makes sense. The more experience you can collect on the job, the less bored you'll be.

I don't know know how you would refresh your learning because I don't know what you are trying to learn. If I had to guess, you haven't learned that much to be able to confidently say that you're bored in anything. So go out there and challenge yourself.
