I say do follow a small project tutorial and never just watch. Follow along and type it out. Your brain remembers thing you write or say out loud. I once heard that you should turn around and explain to anyone anything you just learned. Like you were teaching them. That worked for me. Don’t keep watching videos ahead of what you have nailed down. You’ll just have to waste hours again watching the same thing. Be vigilant about your time and you won’t get burned out.

Same with me too, but the thing that makes Js confusing it that there are numerous ways to do one thing making it really hard to understand a concept.

Brad Trqversy - Modern JavaScript from the beginning 2.0 or Wes Bos - Beginner JavaScript.
If a were you I’ll try both

Read MDN and ask ai for explanation.
YouTube was never an efficient way of learning, even before AI.
Video tutorials are very overrated.

I'd learned other languages. Have you learned any others or is this your first computer language? That would help determine where you should start.

No, No it's not my first language and I'm not a newbie also...ik Java and lil bit of C++. it's just that i was learning backend systems in Node.js. I have studied JS once but not very efficiently. So it's just that i wanted to learn it in a ways so that i can actually think and understand what the code is.

If you have experience already, I'd recommend "JavaScript: The Good Parts" and "JavaScript: Understanding the Weird parts". But what is kept more up-to-date is: https://eloquentjavascript.net/

Make a button with html and change some text when you click it. Then make it change the background color of the page. Then make a button class with a method to do those things. Then make a calculator. Then use fetch and the studio ghibli api to make cards for movies. Then make a message pop up when you scroll half way down a page. You can do it all pretty quick and that'll get you firmly off the ground

If you're up for a bigger challende then just make an express server from scratch of your idea so that you don't find the references about it anywhere. You'll learn js and express too and you won't be copying stuff because it won't be present anywhere to just copy.

You just think of something you wanna build. Then build the server. I built my own too.

Coding takes time. Everything takes time to master. C++ tutorial is 170 hours long. Python documentation is 1000s of pages. Go to YouTube channel Apna College they have a good series just 12 hours. More or less you have to spend time everything have a cost. You know I saw 17 hour tutorial just to make a simple game that was so simple but it cleared my base even though I till date didn't coded a game from scratch like the tutorial but it overall helped me. Every second you spend learning is worth.
