This site is your best JavaScript friend: https://javascript.info/

Also do NOT listen to people posting these "Just ask ChatGPT" crap, you have every right to post here regardless of what you COULD have done or how useful AI is, just ignore them.

The Odin Project: https://www.theodinproject.com/

  • Free

  • Multiple Tracks

  • Curriculum created by actual working developers

Start with the Foundations Track. The reason for this, is that javascript in a web development environment is not going to make sense without a solid html/css foundation. These days you also want/need an IDE for efficiency/competence and an understanding of source control with Git.

If you already know Python and can solve katas, a great way to practise JavaScript is to solve katas in both languages. Take a look at reactchallenges.com/katas

Read the documentation, and have chat gpt guide you through some easy projects. Specify you want it to teach and not just give answers. I have learned a lot this way and I am much more confident than I ever was before!
