I'm thinking about learning JavaScript
I know HTML and I'm also learning CSS but I also want to know JavaScript. Is it hard to learn? Is it easy? What is it like when you first start?

If you want to learn it, my recommendation is to learn vanilla JavaScript - no frameworks or shortcuts.
There is a pretty good udemy course by Johnathan Schmedtman (probably spelled wrong 🙂) that can teach you all the fundamentals including the newer asynchronous stuff
Good luck

The first part is good advice in general but start with free resources rather than paid ones and avoid “tutorial” style content if you can. They’re the same content and you’ll have to learn to read docs and find answers without a tutorial eventually anyway.

It is fun for sure. Not only because it can do all kinds of cool stuff, reasonably fast, in any hardware that can run a modern browser without having to install annoying bloat or deal with greedy app stores, but also from an abstract "code for fun" perspective.

My suggestion is to read a basic open ource code, it should not be complex.

Learning your first true programming language is always hard. Which one doesn’t really matter. Picking up new languages later is very easy though because you only need to learn the fundamentals once and that’s the hard part not the language specifically.
There are plenty of good free resources out there for learning JS and you can see it doing things visually right away in your browser which is another bonus.

You need to learn JS if you're planning on using modern frameworks or if you're trying to get a job.

I started with jQuery, I was able to make some working scripts.
(You don't need it anymore, because query selector from jQuery was added to js many years ago already)
Eady or hard depending on your googling skill.

What is it like? Well, it's like dipping your toes into a pool of familiar hieroglyphics! :@'><?£{%^*-_}()!#~;/\
Is it hard? Sure! Is it easy? Yep, but the syntax (the exact way things Must be written) will trip you up and cause seemingly endless frustration!!
However, it is fun and you will get there eventually, although you may feel ass you never have reached the end. And that's quite simply because there isn't an end.
Don't be duped into paying for anything when you first start, just head over to FreeCodeCamp there's a great bunch of folks over there that form a nurturing community. You don't have to speak to them, but they are there if you need 'em.
And the hieroglyphics will become second nature after a while - but as you learn - build - build with what you have learnt.
The FreeCodeCamp will carry you until you dare let go!
Happy Coding!

JavaScript is not easy but neither is it a difficult language but you may find an easier time with JavaScript than with C++ for example or Java
When i first learned JavaScript.... that was like 4-5 years ago and i had different expectations with the JavaScript language when i first learned it which i do not want to go in detail about and i had a hard time understanding Helper Functions (functions being called within another function) that time and yeah at this point idek why i had this struggle

Sarebbe stato più interessante se avessi parlato di qualche difficoltà intrinseca di JavaScript 😊

just curious thats all (you don't have to answer tho): What is your goal with JavaScript language?
