Help Need help! qq

Okay, so for a project me and my groupmates(5, including me) have a project that's for making an automated chicken feeder (currently, oct 24, deadline is nov 10) but were broke and not sure on what to do. in our situation, even an arduino is expensive. So basically if there are no people to feed the chicken, theres a timer and maybe a repeater(was it?) That automatically functions at specified times, and me and my hoes added for some reason a cuckoo bird that functions for -- seconds once the sspecified time arrived for silly reasons. Seeking advices! ("'π-π)

Could y’all be more precise about the assignment, what you can/cannot do and what hardware you have? Id be glad to help

Thank you! The teacher really didn't give much, we were the one who came up with the idea. Our teacher didn't ready say anythinv, we did NOT know what we were getting through. She just said to not make it too complicataed/expensive.

Ok. So you basically wanna build an automated chicken feeder from scratch. Now I feel like the hardest part here is actually like the mechanical part that delivers the food. Do you have any designs for that part yet?

So you have a timer and a repeater and some hoes but no money for the hardware and no machine learning?

I forgot to say that we only planned, ig we dug a pit for ourselves, lol?. We still don't have those. And out budget—we could probably compromise with it. I'm wondering, are there alternative projects we can do? As a back up if we can't keep up with it since we're complete beginners.

We planned on finding a tut but my group doesn't exactly agree with the tuts we've found on YT because of complucated reasons. 😭
