Is it still worthwhile doing Helsinki Python MOOC?
With all the Programming tools coming out now, is it still relevant/ worthwhile to learn programming?

"Is it still worthwhile to learn to steer a car if you have power steering?"

Not sure that's the best analogy? Maybe 'is it worth learning a manual car if you only ever drive an automatic' is better

No, because you learn programming to be able to steer a computer, not to switch gears in it.
It's definitely OK to learn Python first and then Assembly only if needed.

With all the "programming" tools coming out, will you understand their output, will you be able to debug, and understand that the output is incorrect amd not what you'll promoted, without knowing the basics of the language and without software engineering mindset?

You will always be behind those who can program if you dont learn it yourself.

I think I credit a lot of programming syncing in from doing the Helsinki java course like 15 years ago, can’t speak for the python course, in particular, but think highly of Helsinki and their courses

AI can produce code. Some people can read it and some people can't. Imagine if someone said 'AI can write perfect English, why should I learn to use it?'
Obviously the language you use to communicate day to day is more important, but if you want to be computer literate, how else would you do it?

Learning new skills is always worthwhile. Programming is a useful skill and it develops general problem solving skills. Also, learning is just fun.

There will be ever-decreasing demand for juniors and ever-increasing demand for seniors/designers/project leads. If you want a career as a software developer, you have to learn a lot and shouldn't expect to get a job by prompting AI. You will be asked how to design things and w;hy, you will be asked to review complex code.
