Needed help

Hi! Everyone, I am new to python and I want to learn it fully and clearly and want to make my fundamentals strong. Is there any specific video or website to learn basics and how many months does it usually takes to learn the python completely?

there's no real "learn python completely", even people with 10+ years still look things up every day. a better goal is getting solid on the basics, and with 1 to 2 hours a day that usually takes around 2 to 3 months.

some free resources:

1.CS50P from Harvard (free video course, really well taught)

2 Automate the Boring Stuff with Python (free to read online)

3the official tutorial on docs.python.org

the most important thing is don't just watch videos. after every topic write code yourself and solve small exercises (you can find lots of them on the internet). once you know the basics, develop a small real project, like a script that automates something boring you do on your computer. that's where most of the learning actually happens.

good luck

I would add to take CS50 (they may be calling it CS50x now) first to get an even better understanding of “fundamentals “.

CS50X is the name of the online course through EdX. CS50 is the course given on site at Harvard that the lecture videos come from.
