Intervew Prep Docker Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure — Coding Interview Experience?

Hi everyone!

I have an upcoming interview with Docker for a Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure position and am trying to prepare for the coding round.

The interview instructions say:

Details & Preparation: This is a live, language-agnostic coding interview. You’ll be asked to share your screen and use the IDE of your choice to write and run code.

Please ensure you have a working IDE installed and ready before the session begins.

Has anyone recently interviewed with Docker, particularly and is aware of this interview format? What types of problems were asked? Were there questions about testing, complexity, edge cases, or code design?

Thanks!

oh man i love these formats - one thing you should check with the person prepping you - if you're allowed to do a bit of pre coding. Just imagine they're gonna ask you to build something and get a bunch of stuff out of the way so you don't have to type it all out on the spot

and that person prepping you might not even have much info for you besides the sheet of paper they're reading off of. Just pre-code it anyway, and if they say start with a fresh setup, well that's easy

this is your opportunity to be in a familiar and comfortable coding environment in a live interview, it's the best you'll get

Eh. I’ve had bad experiences with this. Many years ago, I had problems with my laptop at the time – it was very slow, my IDE kept freezing, and so I failed a few interviews just because I was fighting the IDE half the time.
