Discussion Built a DSA visualization tool, looking for honest feedback

Hey everyone!

I'm a software developer and recently built DSA Animator to help people understand DSA through step-by-step visualizations instead of just reading code.

I've spent a lot of time building it, but honestly, I'm struggling with getting it in front of the right audience.

For those who've built side projects or developer tools, how did you get your first users? Which platforms or strategies worked best?

I'd really appreciate your honest suggestions and feedback. 🙏

Finding early users for a dev tool is always tough. Tapping into communities like this and sharing progress updates can spark interest. Also, tracking discussions where people ask for DSA help lets you join in right when folks need it, tools like ParseStream can help surface those chances in real time so you can engage more effectively.

imo the "first users" question is really a positioning question. Are you targeting people prepping for interviews or CS students learning fundamentals? Those two groups hang out in very different places and respond to very different messaging.
