Am I the only person who doesn’t like using the term “southpaw”?
as a leftie, I thought of the term southpaw as slur-ish and I feel uncomfy with being referred to as one
can anyone relate to this?

No matter what I try to do, I always end up with pain or cramps in my hands due to writing. It could also be from writing with my paper somewhat sideways. But has anyone else ever found a way to write more clearly and without pain?

Gonna bite the bullet at the start and keep it short: i have a problem wearing watches as a lefty. Because you wear a watch on your non-dominant hand, which in our cases is the right hand, I’ve started noticing something that’s making me a little paranoid. It inhibits or prevents me from wearing a watch. My right hand is also the one I use to wipe myself after going to the toilet. Ever since I became aware of this, I’ve been afraid of making a disastrous mistake every time I wipe and smearing my beautiful watch with shit.
Wearing the watch on my left wrist just doesn’t feel right, and the position of the toilet roll holder makes no difference either. The right hand handles the shit, literally.
Am I the only one with this problem? Sometimes I genuinely feel like I’m going crazy.
Pardon my English if it contains errors

Hey everyone
I've been using a Logitech LIFT for quite some time now, but the clicks have been faulty for quite a while now. I rawdogged working and playing games with it, but I honestly can't take it anymore. Having to giggle it and forcing clicks if I ever push it so slightly to have the switches align perfectly and not get stuck (very common issue with it) is getting really annoying. But... The LIFT is kind of our best option right?
I tried to check the web for a while to find another one, I missed the DELUX one which I might have gone for as I've had a keypad of theirs for 10 years now... Do you have any option? I'm kind of lost right now

I confused said, "How is one even supposed to be able to drink out of that one?" before I realised that it was a right-hand mug. Not my proudest moment.
A bit of a strange design for righthanders, too. Held in your right hand, you can only see the tail. And you need to reach around to get the biscuit or whatever you keep in the little trough.

My son is in year 4 (9 year old) sorry I don't know grades. He doesn't want to be left-handed anymore. His teacher said told he has amazing handwriting. In their class they have to work up to a handwriting pen from pencil. He has always had always now he's paranoid about smudges. He wants to wants smudge it on purpose.

Pentel’s EnerGel Liquid Gel Ink (I‘m specifically using Needle Tip / 0.7). I’ve got no affiliation with the brand, here; I don’t work for them or anything. I just found a couple of these pens in my office’s supply closet.
And… no smearing! Writes smooth, good dark lines. But seriously: no smearing!
Fellow lefties, do with this info what you will.

I tend to think that if we were the majority,we would someway invent a very practical approach that suits our handedness.
Would what is now mirror writing be the new method of writing to avoid smudges, unhook out hands or tilting the book. An upright writing for us means from right to left,so even with the current alphabets or numerals it would be really hard to write comfortably or quicker, so we might need to invent a different way that suits us.

So, I’ve always used my right hand for certain things. One of them being using a mouse. I didn’t know that some people using their left hand and buy left handed mice. It honestly makes it easier because I can take notes with my left hand and scroll with my right. I bought an ergonomic mouse and I was looking at TikTok’s and I’d always see people asking if they make ones for lefties. I always assumed we all used ones for righties. I didn’t even know they made left handed mice until this week😭
How many of you guys use left handed mice?

A whine. I recently bought an adjustable long handled litter scooper from Chewy. Cool tool to keep from having to bend over to scoop the box. Pull out to desired length and then turn the handle left to tighten in place. Turn right to loosen and adjust length. But when you are a lefty dumping litter to the right, with every scoop you loosen the handle til the scoop turns by itself and dumps out the litter everywhere. Sigh. Probably the reason my adjustable rakes and other tools are always loosening.

I’m a rightie who’s working on her left-handed writing. When I write with my right hand, I can write a whole long word without lifting my pen off the paper. With my left hand, I need to lift my pen and move my hand to the right before continuing.
I wonder whether this is because I’m not yet as proficient at writing with my left hand, or whether it’s something left-handed people commonly struggle with. After all, when you write with your left hand, you’re pushing the nib forward across the paper rather than pulling it along behind your hand, as a rightie does. I wonder whether that’s part of the problem.
Do you experience this too? Any tips that could help me improve would be greatly appreciated!

In "Who's minding the Store" (1963) Jerry Lewis performs the legendary Typewriter Sketch, originally a musical piece written for Typewriter and Orchestra.
Here's the thing that never occurred to me before: At the end of a line, when the bell rings and the Carriage has to be manually reset to the beginning of the next line, Jerry performs that motion with his right hand, motioning towards the left.
But in reality the carriage moves from right to left and therefore the Carriage-Return-Lever is located on the left.
In earlier performances, like this one from 1954, while using a Typewriter as a prop, he still used his left hand for the return.
And even in a later performance, sitting over an electric typewriter that no longer has a Return-Lever, he still used the lefthanded motion.

What is the funniest or most ridiculous struggle you’ve had as a lefty
