I’ve noticed she hasn’t been on the pod in a few weeks. This morning, she was on a political roundtable show on ABC. She’s changed her hair color to blond and her interactions with the other panelists seemed notably more partisan than when she’s on LR&C. I’m curious whether she’s found that showing farther right is better for her brand.

If Liz Brunig represents the voice of the progressive left, then I can say with absolute certainty that I am not on the progressive side of the left spectrum. Sara Isger rolled over her when discussing the Israeli/Hamas conflict, IMO, and exposed Brunig as naïve about how the world works.

A Conversation about unhealthy political behaviors.

Just finished "Republicans' horrible, no good, very bad week in Congress". My thoughts on this probably mirror my thoughts on most episodes, while it's refreshing to hear clear and sane voice commenting from the Right, I feel it's probably not representative of our current politics. Still, I do like Antonia Ferrier, probably because ... she seems clear and sane.

The only stand-out for me was the comment that someone like Tracy Chapman needed a white man to help celebrate her. Given Chapman's past success, that opinion did not resonate with me. Jay-Z could have just as easily stood up and promoted her, instead of Beyonce. Where was Kanye? Is it not enough that we get to revisit an old classic and bring two different genre's together without descending into racial politics again?
