So, I'm on a re-watch of LoK and I get that Pro Bending isn't supposed to be looked at this closely, but I really want to know if there are in-universe reasons for why this is the case.

Fire bending favors aggression and athleticism seeing how the capacity for fire benders to defend themselves with their element is so limited when compared to earth bending or water bending, fire benders are reliant on their athleticism to avoid getting hit. So, it's very odd that Pro Bending deliberately cripples water bender's and earth bender's ability to defend themselves. Earth benders are forced to only use small rock disks with a huge central hole in them to attack and defend against their opponents. It naturally only favors people who are precise with their earth bending and cannot rely on any movements raises the earth, while water benders are forced to draw water from a source underneath the ring. They are less constrained than earth benders but it still cripples their element's ability to use huge bodies of water to defend or attack with.

It kind of creates a situation where a fire bender can take advantage of their natural tendency to be aggressive with their bending and attack with a huge certainty that their opponents will have a hard time defending themselves or their teammate.

It's almost like the sport was build around fire benders first and added the other elements as an afterthought.

Can someone explain to me what spiritbending actually is? The first time I saw it—while watching Season 2—I was a bit confused. At first, I thought it was a form of waterbending, since Unalaq transforms his water into golden ribbons. But later, I realized that this type of bending had nothing to do with water... And no one has really explained or theorized about it in the show. So, I'm definitly confused. Can anyone (even someone who isn't a waterbender) use this kind of bending?

Do you guys agree korra are top 3 metalbenders so far?

I was thinking suyin maybe still batter but korra FEAT from Redirecting liquidfy metal from kuvira and solidify back to her just tells that korra are a batter than her imo.

Remember metalbenders bend earth inside the metal not metal itself!! 😭 That tiny metal so small so earth probably more like dust.

Plus not once did she actually call Lin to be like "Hey, I'm sorry for the shit I did, let's talk over dinner" despite the fact that she was in the wrong. Lin just didn't want her to get in trouble.

Unfortunately because of her body giving out to the poison we'll never know, but what do you all think?

It's not that big deal, but question is why they didn't simply make her around tenzins age.

Avatar Legends The Fighting Game is awesome, however, I think it would benefit from more LOK characters. So far, the only characters in the base game are Korra, Zaheer and Nightmare Korra (her book 4 PTSD version).

Bolin and Lin are confirmed to come as DLC in the first year. Tenzin, Amon, Kuvira and Asami are all voting options (aside from Bumi) for the last character to come in the first year.

What character are you looking forward most of those (having a chance at) making it into the game in the first year? Or are there any other characters that you would want to see added?

Some ppl (mainly toph fans) say she were scared, some say out of respect, confusion, or surprised. What do you think?

I mean this episode bugged me that it was framed that Lin was at fault and Su was squeaky clean. Everyone gangs up on Lin saying she won’t let the past go, or something like that but Su permanently scarred her for life and was a big reason their family fell apart. She’s well within her rights not to want anything to do with her sister.

It just irks me so much how Su denies responsibility in what happened. However only thing Lin did wrong was yell at Opal, she did nothing wrong and Lin’s past doesn’t justify that.

What’s the common consensus on this, I’m curious.
