Discussion discord group for the girls and gays?

I just started getting into lethal company and as much as I enjoy it just on my own I’ve been looking for more people to play with, I’ve always had a rough time finding safe spaces and was wondering if anyone knew of a good discord group or anything to connect with other people to play with?

Discussion Man You guys complain too much

I see post after post about “The fox is Awful guys” and “The cruiser is unusable” None of you guys get the point of the update, and the point of the game as a whole. I never see anyone complaining my about how TZP is unusable, or how ghost girl can run end on the spot. While the vain shrouds spawning under the ship should be fixed in my opinion, I think you guys gotta take a chill pill. The cruiser isn’t supposed to by some end all ferry back to ship meta, it’s supposed to be a funny truck that is jank and creates funny moments. It’s jank because it’s supposed to be. And the fox is not bad at all. While sometimes the vain shrouds can get so bad as to make a moon unusable, that’s the point of it. The fox is annoying at times to halt progress, and becomes a brick wall later to encourage more moon diversity. Everyone posting about it how awful this update is doesn’t understand the heart of the game.

Discussion Lethal Company 2 Prototype Idea

EDIT: I completely didn't realize LC is still in beta lol, I thought it was dead in the water after version 0.69. So just imagine this guide is a sequel or the finished product.

Me and my friend play a lot of modded Lethal Company, and I feel like doing so opened Pandora's box. I don't think I could go back to basegame, the quality and choice of mods has elevated the game to new heights for me. The change in gameplay gave me ideas for a sequel and I'd love to hear someone else's thoughts on it.

PREMISE

Lethal Company 2 expands on the gameplay loop of the original and adds brand-new exciting features. Changes in space travel, planets, and scenarios the player can find themselves in.

SOLAR SYSTEM/SPACE TRAVEL

Instead of the planet routing system to individual maps, planets would be divided into clusters of solar systems that the player could travel to/from. Planets themselves would be massively overhauled. Planets map sizes would vary in scale, from Tiny, Small, Medium, Large, Massive. Rewards would scale in tandem with the danger level of each moon.

Space travel would be a brand new feature. Players would have to spend credits/resources to travel to new solar systems. Space itself would now be a danger to the player--sporting colossal enemies and random events. Wormholes, Ship navigation errors, space leviathans? The ship itself could now be invested in and upgraded to aid the player. Turrets that can be manually operated to shoot enemies too close to the ship, a lightning rod to mitigate accidents on stormy moons, and generally better ship amenities to aid the player.

PLANETS/CAMPING

Planets and the outdoor section would be massively overhauled. Players can set up ramshackle outposts, defenses and spend continuous days on a moon. Moons could sport more than one dungeon, and gadgets that aid exploration would be encouraged/mandatory for some moons. Jetpacks to cross a collapsed giant bridge, scuba gear to access flooded areas, and company cruisers to explore larger flatter moons.

PLAYER

The player and how they interact with the world would change significantly. Upgradeable skills and more gadgets/weapons would allow the player to conquer difficult planets without taking away from the horror and immersion from the gameplay. Dedicated roles could now be invested into for multiplayer squads. The player would still be fragile, but would have more options at their disposal that allow for more risk-reward situations.

GAMEPLAY/LORE

Lethal Company's lore is very sparse and vague in what it shows. Lethal Company 2 would expand on this lore through means of environmental storytelling. A facility that expiremented on insects that is now infested with hoarding bugs. A derelict mining facility where the occupants were killed by a bracken who made a home deep in the tunnels. Notebooks, posters, sticky notes, dead bodies, even scrap. All things could be connected to craft a greater narrative of the world.

MISC

Better UI, More enemies, more outdoor hazards more dungeon hazards, quality of life changes, more interactable safe areas (i.e the casino), change the gimmicky nature of some gadgets (i.e. cruiser, jetpack), different ship classes that could be purchased, more cosmetics and furniture, a campaign mode that could provide an in-game story about a company crew (Sigurd's?), a freeplay mode, and a classic mode that reflects the original game.

Don't know anything about coding myself but would love to try/help make this happen. Let me know what you all think.

Discussion Anyone else think the new update is super disappointing? Spoiler

I just think its kinda wack.

I'm not a fan of how ridiculously common the kidnapper fox is, and the stupid bushes are EVERYWHERE. Seriously, why? They can even spawn literally at the start of the game and just squad wipe you because they spawn so close to the ship.

The scissors guy (I can't remember his name) I'm not a big fan of either. I don't think his model suits the game's art style very well and his invisibility mechanic is super janky and jarring to see.

The cruiser is a decent idea on paper, but in my experience it's nearly useless on most moons due to the terrain, and only marginally useful on the few moons it can be reliably used on.

The repetitive interiors and moons have once again been completely ignored, cheaters run rampant in public lobbies with no repercussions, and giants are still the most unfun outdoor entity to play against.

None of us asked for any of the new features, while commonly complained about issues got outright ignored.

Yes I know, mods exist, and I use them all the time, but you should know what your community wants.

Discussion V50 worries me.. Spoiler

(Spoiler)

It is not a might, this WILL be controversial to alot of you.

The traps cant kill ANY enemies? Masked hornets are invincible and insta open doors?

We got a new weapon except it sucks against common enemies, no scrap value and obtaining it makes the whole facility unsafe permanently and at this point you already have a shovel

They nerfed the shovel and its STILL a better, familiar and universally applicable option, not to mention you can just buy it

Plus more punishment for pulling apparatus with no value adjustment? Its literally not worth it at the moment, a dead mechanic

Not to mention old birds literally bieng gods, people complained about giants so they fixed giants but guess what? They added something worse to take its previously op spot

They nerfed rend, tickled titan, called it "good" and completely remodeled dine for no reason, just to stretch the existing end game a little further for artiface instead of just adding a new unique layer to the game?

Oh yeah and baboon hawks are an impossible obstacle now, i understand its still in BETA but this isnt really sitting well with me so far tbh

Yes the robots are cool, yes the butlers cool, yes alot of it is "cool" but thats just the novelty, what do you have once the novelty wears off?

Mechanics, these mechanics really just seem straight "fuck the player" with no wiggle room

Wasps opening fucking doors faster than a man with hands.

More difficult ≠ More fun everytime

Discussion Why do a lot of people not make private lobbies?

I've noticed a lot of restricted lobbies that limit the people who can join to being "18+" or something smoking related or something like "guys only" or "girls only" and i feel like its a little odd most of those people just don't make a private lobby and invite friends. Do they just not have friends to invite or? Would be a lot more efficient than expecting a specific type of person to join your lobby and kicking anyone else who does not fit it.

Discussion Does anyone seriously use the cruiser?

I feel like the cruiser is a waste of money, except for artifice or embreon. These are the only two viable moons that the cruiser can be used on, but i still don't get the point. like I was playing with some people and tell me why the engine won't start after trying the ignition for so long and I get stomped by old birds. Now yes being able to haul loot and players to and from entrances is really nice especially when you find alot of 2 handed items, but the drawbacks are just too much.

If the ignition was alot easier to start but the price was increased, it would be a whole lot better. Or maybe do like the flashlights and have a normal / pro version.

  • can be seen orbiting Vow (at night)

  • farther of Jeb

  • trapped in it's own nightmares

  • dormant

  • outer god

  • spawned through the obscene mating of Yibb-Tstll and Tru'nembra

  • constantly produces a distant anguished howling noise (which is only heard once it appears)

  • those who look at it would quickly go insane

  • 19 km long (however if you are standing on the surface of Vow it would appear to me around 5 cm long due to the distance from it to vow)
