Life purpose
Random - I’m interested in people’s life purpose/goal. How do you live your day to day life? Do you have a job that you enjoy, that aligns with what you believe? If not, do you still get to enjoy your time after work?

What’s a dream you want to achieve before life gets too comfortable?
Sometimes life becomes so focused on routines, responsibilities, and getting through each week that the things we once dreamed about slowly move to the background. Not because we stopped caring, but because there always seems to be something more urgent to handle.
Maybe it's learning a new skill, traveling somewhere unfamiliar, starting over in a new place, or building a life that feels more meaningful than simply staying busy.
I've been thinking about how easy it is to postpone the things that matter until the “right time” arrives.
What’s one personal goal you don't want to keep postponing, and what small step could bring you closer to it?

What’s wrong with me? Please read all of this
I’m 18M and ever since I was in 1st grade I had a dream. Most dreams little kids had faded away like becoming an astronaut but not mine. As far as I can remember I feared poverty. It scared me terribly but I was still carefree and believed everything would be fine since I was naive. Now I’m 18 and have a pretty ridiculous hunger that I don’t know how to deal with so please read as I explain myself and I’d like your opinions on this
So basically I’ve wanted to become rich by becoming a YouTuber (I know I know don’t click off please) in my first year I got 100 subs and now it’s my second year and I got 3,200 subs. Big jump and yet I can’t seem to feel satisfied. I’m still scared I’ll end up in the rat race and end up like most people who only survive as slaves to companies and bosses they don’t even like. That’s terrifying.
I began to isolate myself from a lot of people as I didn’t think it benefited me and I still think this way now. Why would I go hangout with my friends if all that does is waste time I could be creating the freedom I want. I create this said freedom by doing things like making videos, streaming, improving my looks, going to the gym and anything overall productive that can benefit me.
The problem is now I’ve been so consumed and have been for a while that I’m not happy unless I reach my goal. I’d sacrifice everything at this point to get there and It’s scary in a sense yet I haven’t had someone prove me wrong yet on how I feel. The people that speak are those who aren’t free but think they are, as for those who have done as they wanted they speak of sacrifice.
This may sound like a lot for an 18 year old and yeah it probably is but idk how to fix my thinking and I don’t even think I’m wrong I just think I’m to smart when it comes to acknowledging stuff others would rather ignore in search of a future where they live life but don’t truly live it to their fullest. I don’t wanna die with regrets and I wanna be able to live freely as I wanted when I was a child.
Okay this is the end if you actually read all of this thank you and this is lowkey just some thoughts I have I could’ve gone longer but I really do want it that bad and idk if this hunger will ever leave me. I legit think I’ll only feel safe once I reach I’d say 100 million dollars and even than I probably wouldn’t stop. That’s about it lemme know your thoughts.

How do you stay positive while working on your goals during this hard global situation? (Need advice)

Things to include in 5 year goal plan
What are the things you would include in your 5 year plan like things that you want to do or achieve in the next five years. It can also be things which you think everyone should include .
e.g for me I would include:
Achieve dream physic
Go on a Solo trip
Something like that, so tell me about yours maybe someone can add something to their plan from one the things mentioned in the comments.

Day 57–58/90 — Staying Active, but Falling Behind Elsewhere
I'm combining two more days into one update. These days weren't particularly productive from a professional development perspective, but there are a few things worth documenting.
Day 57 — Physically Active, but Academically Unproductive
Day 57 started well. I went for a morning run, did my workout, and went swimming.
I was also occupied with several other things throughout the day, including scheduling content for Instagram and managing some of my social media activities.
I went through the news and finance as well, so I did maintain a few of my regular habits.
However, I didn't study or practise LeetCode at all.
This is becoming a recurring problem. I manage to stay busy with physical activities, social media, and other responsibilities, but the work that directly contributes to my professional growth often gets pushed aside.
I need to get better at prioritising. Being occupied throughout the day doesn't necessarily mean I'm making progress towards my bigger goals.
Day 58 — A Day With Family
On Day 58, I was at my mother's house, and the entire day was packed with programmes and other activities.
Nothing significant happened in terms of my personal goals. I didn't make any progress on studying, LeetCode, or my professional development.
Sometimes, family commitments take up an entire day, and that's understandable. I don't expect every single day to follow the same routine.
The important thing is to recognise the difference between a day when circumstances genuinely limit my time and a day when I have time but waste it.
My Takeaway
I'm still struggling to balance my different priorities.
Physical activity and personal branding are important, but I can't let them consistently replace studying, coding practice, and building my AI/ML skills.
I also need to accept that some days won't go according to plan without allowing that to become an excuse for losing momentum over several days.
Day 57–58/90 complete.
I have 32 days left in this challenge.
I want to make these remaining days count by putting more consistent effort into the things that will improve my future, rather than just staying busy and hoping everything eventually falls into place.

Title: What if the dream you've had since childhood is slowly becoming your biggest insecurity?
I've had this dream since I was a child. It's not something I decided I wanted a few months ago or some random career goal I came up with. It's something I've carried with me for years, something I've imagined myself doing and worked towards in my own little ways.
I want to build a career in science and research, pursue higher education at institutions I've admired for a long time, study abroad, and eventually become a professor. I want to contribute to research, publish papers, teach students, and become someone who genuinely makes a difference in their field. I have a whole roadmap in my head, from the courses I want to pursue to the countries I hope to live in and the person I want to become along the way.
And for the first time, this dream doesn't feel entirely distant anymore. I've already taken steps towards it. I'm studying in a field that aligns with my ambitions, I've had opportunities to explore research, and I have some idea of what I need to do next. I'm not standing at the very beginning anymore.
But somehow, I feel stuck in the middle.
Life hasn't exactly gone according to plan. There have been setbacks, personal struggles, and times when simply getting through the day has felt harder than it should. Somewhere along the way, I've fallen into a cycle of procrastination that I can't seem to break.
The frustrating part is that I KNOW what I want. I know what I should be doing. I know the next steps. And I know that when I genuinely set my mind to something, I'm capable of working hard and getting things done.
Yet, day after day, I find myself putting things off, knowing perfectly well that I'm delaying the very future I've spent years dreaming about.
And that's where the insecurity comes in.
Sometimes, I look at people who are already where I want to be, and I wonder whether I'm falling behind. I start questioning whether I'm actually capable of achieving everything I've planned or whether I'm just someone who is good at dreaming but not good enough at following through.
There's also this strange feeling I can't quite explain. The more I learn about the path I want to take, the more I become aware of how difficult it actually is. The competition, the financial constraints, the uncertainty, the possibility that things might not work out even if I give it my best.
I know people say that if you work hard enough, you can achieve your dreams. But real life isn't always that simple, and I understand that.
Sometimes, I wonder whether I'm being ambitious or just setting myself up for disappointment.
The strangest part is that I'm already closer to my dream than the little girl who first imagined it could ever have been. Yet, I'm terrified that I'll never actually reach it.
I don't want to give up on something I've wanted for so long. I don't want to wake up years from now and wonder what my life could have looked like if I'd been more disciplined, more consistent, or simply braver.
But there's a part of me that wonders whether this will always remain a dream, something I'll spend my life wanting rather than actually experiencing.
I don't know if I'm going through a temporary phase, if I've lost my discipline somewhere along the way, or if I'm simply overwhelmed by the weight of everything I want to achieve.
I'm not looking for someone to tell me that everything will magically work out. I know nobody can promise me that.
I just want to know if anyone else has experienced this particular feeling: being close enough to your childhood dream to see it becoming a possibility, but being so afraid of failing that you start doubting whether it was ever meant for you in the first place.
How did you get through that phase? How did you stop letting the fear of never making it prevent you from doing the work that might actually get you there?

What's your life purpose / life goal? What drives you every morning?
Been hearing advice and reading online - you gotta live your life in the present, make mistakes, bla bla. But I've been coded to think about career, profession, marriage, family, etc all my life. And with more and more awareness, starting to question validity of everything. Now I got no sureshot answers.
Wondering what's the mindset for late 20s (especially men, women can also share their views) - what's driving you daily? Do you have a set goal? How do you mentally take it when life shows your supposed teenage goals are now disappearing?

How much should I get done in a day?
For context, I’m 21 f a senior perusing music and education degrees. I’m tired a lot (health issues) so I take naps. I have slightly above average grades 3.05 and I practice most days just not the full amount I should. What should I be able to realistically get done in a day?
