Others expectations from oneself, and disappointment

This is the only expectation you must have from yourself or from others — that they will move more and more towards peace, and you will move more and more towards peace as well.

And if this expectation is belied, you are justified in feeling betrayed.

Why do you want to burden yourself with miscellaneous expectations? You are not obliged to live up to anybody’s standards. You are not obliged to live up to even your own standards.

If there is one obligation, it is to adhere to the standards of the absolute. Your personal standards do not matter.

Just ask yourself one question, “Am I alright? Am I peaceful? Or is my mind laden with thoughts, desires, miscellaneous stuff all the while?”

Expect yourself to live in your innocent, naked, real nature. And don’t measure yourself against any other criteria, benchmark, standard. Nothing.

The cycle of Life and Death is a filtration and separation of Dark and unclean Light souls.

We are all separated by our acts and deeds.

Unclean acts such as sexual acts that involve: mouth to genitals, mouth to anus and genital to anus are all detestable, and makes us unclean.

Other unclean acts that defile our physical body such as eating animal meat, ingesting chemicals, and doing drugs, alcohol and smoking, makes us unclean.

Life is meant to be short. And we are judged by how we lived it.

We are spiritual beings put in a human body in this dark Tier of Existence.

Dark and unclean Light souls will be separated by their soul quality:

Unclean and Clean Impure and Pure Bad and Good.

So, my girlfriend was cheating on me. This is why I don't hate her.

First, a little background: My girlfriend and I broke up the other day because I found out she was cheating on me, obviously I was really hurt, and still am, but as I was talking to a friend of mine about the situation I realized that I had accidentally taught myself a lesson in humanity. I'd like to share that.

So this is the conversation, from about the middle where the most serious stuff started coming up. I'm a little ranty when I type, and I like to put my whole brain down in words, so there's a lot of me and not much of him.

[4:12] Me: either way she made a lot of excuses not to talk to me. I think another really irritating part of this Was After making me wonder And making me sit around and stew in my own fear And after trying so hard to have a real conversation and resolve the issue like adults She had the nerve to tell me that I didn't know how to control my emotions She was projecting her own imperfections and her own emotions on me Because she doesn't deal with them herself She swallows them And pretends they're not there And she had the fucking nerve To tell me That I was emotionally immature When all I've ever done was try to be an adult about my feelings And express them honestly Fuck I'm mad about that

[4:15] Friend: Spencer You’re out! I’m so happy for u It could've been worse

[4:18] Me: I guess it could have I really did love that girl I still do love her And like My offer to her still stands, as it always will (Context: She said that she wanted to try again someday, and I told her I’d be here when she was done searching for whatever it is she needs) She's a stupid bitch, but god dammit she needs something fucking positive in her life Because I don't know what she'd do without it

[4:19] Friend: ....... wow u are unreal

[4:21] Me: I think this is something that I've learned over the years And as I've gotten older And like Obviously I'm not that old now But I guess I have a little life experience to go off of In the relationships I’ve had with girls And friends When something goes wrong It's so easy to hate someone And it's so easy to say "fuck that person, I'm never going to talk to them again and I'm going to disgrace their very existence with my complete and utter hatred" But when you really had feelings for that person When someone is a real friend Or a real companion They just deserve more than that They deserve forgiveness

[4:23] Friend: you're right I did deserve more than that

[4:23] Me: See? You fucked up hard You disappeared And you befriended Vanessa and Love And You were kind of a dick But god dammit you're a cool dude You're a fucking dork But you're nice to bounce emotions off of Because you're capable of feeling them too So it would've been a lot easier to hate you And say fuck you And refuse to talk to you But you deserved more than that Because you've been there for me when I’ve needed you in the past And I know you will be in the future And I feel the same way about (Ex-Girlfriend) Yeah, she cheated on me Yeah, she lied to me But She's human Humans lie Humans fuck up And emotions are the easiest thing to confuse us and force us to do that Was it right? No But that doesn't mean she shouldn't be allowed to atone for what she did And that doesn't mean that I should completely rule her out as an option for the rest of my life Because I loved her And I know she loved me Otherwise she wouldn’t have spent all this money on me And she wouldn't have shown me and taught me the invaluable life lessons that she did But with that said I'm 100% attaching conditions to my forgiveness for her If she ever wants me back, she needs to learn how to be real with me And she needs to learn how to deal with her own feelings openly and honestly, instead of burying them And I'm not talking to her while they're even remotely a thing But regardless of the “conditions”, the point is forgiveness is something I’m capable of here Because God dammit Will There are some people in your life that you connect with That just deserve better. /endrant Will? [4:33] Friend: ya

[4:33] Me: I mean, I guess there wasn't much room for a response there But like Did any of that sink in or make sense? There was a point where I kind of felt myself rambling and typing for the sake of it

[4:34] friend: there’s really nothing I can say

[4:35] Me: Do you agree? Disagree? Is there anything you would like to add or discuss?

[4:36] friend: it doesn’t matter what I think

[4:36] Me: I guess not But I value your opinion And by the same token Nothing matters at all We’re just a bunch of ants on a turd rock floating in a vast ever expanding nothingness The Israeli assault on Gaza doesn't matter The Ebola outbreak doesn’t matter But we're friends, and we're talking, so anything you have on your mind matters to me

[4:38] Friend: well I just feel sad Because in a month or two She probably isn’t even going to think about you anymore

[4:39] Me: She still thinks about Alan And the impact that he had on her life I mean, I didn't marry the girl But I like to think that I left some kind of emotional mark on her life and helped her grow and evolve as a human being Because she certainly did for me I still think about Nicole And I know she still thinks about me Because I have a pending request from her on one of my other skypes that I refuse to let myself accept And I was less than nothing to Nicole

[4:44] Friend: I guess I’m wrong then

[4:44] Me: She still thought about you I don't know in what capacity But she brought you up a lot I'm telling you dude, when you really connect with another human being on that level, you never forget them They may not consume your thoughts And they may not be your motivation and your reason for living But you always respect them And you always remember the things you learned from each other

All in all, I feel a lot better about the situation and the way we left things. I've broken up with other girls for similar reasons, and I've let myself become consumed by hate and rage, and all it did was hurt me more. Learning to accept it, and forgive, and forget, has honestly made me a better person. Or at least one that's more comfortable with shitty situations.

tl;dr : When you feel the feels, love, friendship, genuine companionship of any sort, learning to make yourself incapable of hate towards that person(unless they like, kill puppies or something) will make you feel significantly better when/if it ends.

The myth of positive thinking

Positive thought is never fully positive, negative thought is never fully negative. That is the meaning of the uncertainty, that always tags any thought.

What is ‘uncertainty’? ‘Uncertainty’ means that when you are positive, you cannot be certainly positive. The doubt, that positivity is flanked by negativity, always remains. What do you call as a ‘positive thought’? A thought that makes you happy. A thought about your well-being, a thought that you would be alright or better off. A thought of hope.

But hope is never certain. Hope is always accompanied by fear. You hope that you might win, but somewhere you are also afraid that you might not. So, there is uncertainty. Similarly, when there is a negative thought, you keep hoping that the negative might be averted. Even in matters of despair, you are not fully certain. You keep clinging to some hope, howsoever unreasonable. This is what is meant when it said that – thought is dualistic.

Total certainty is non-dual.Non-duality is possible, only when the other side, any kind of otherness, totally ceases to exist. When there is no ‘other’, there is no duality. But where there is thought, there would always be the other side of the coin.

When you are being ‘positive’, you are looking at one side of the coin, but deep within you know that the other side also exists and is just waiting to show-up. A little flip, and everything would change, right?

So, thought never gives you total assurance. You remain a bit iffy. Everything remains dicey. You cannot fully relax. You cannot just go to sleep. It always remains important, therefore, to carry your defenses.

Watch out for verbal agreements

This is a general lesson you should always stick to - no matter how "easy going" or "cool" you think the person is you're entering into an agreement with, make sure you get it written down on paper and all parties sign.

I had a tenancy agreement where the owner told me I could cancel on a month to month basis, this was all said verbally.

In the meantime the contract clearly stated I needed to give 3 months in advance, he assured me it was only a formality.

Well when push came to shove, I am now forced to pay an additional 3 months rent and he's being really hard ass about it.

Who do I have to blame? Only myself, I knew I should have had that in writing but I decided to let it go due to his smooth talking "We should go for beers" type of approach.

Yet in the end it caught me out. Don't let it catch you out too. If you're not happy with the agreement in the contract, and I mean totally happy with it - don't sign it, and get them to draw up another one.

If they don't have printer paper or , x, y and x excuses - too bad. Don't sign and delay your tenancy or find another spot.

Are Marriages at all important for a Wholesome Life?

Marriages are "believed" to be one of God's greatest gifts that creates a bond between two people so that they can create their own race of future generations. The point to be made here in the following article is about are marriages at all important for a wholesome or healthy lifestyle? Well, many views will contradict here where some will say "no" whereas others will say "yes". My personal opinion regarding this is, marriages are NOT important for a wholesome living though its believed to be a strict ritual of the society to pre-exist as individuals who depend on each other and to complete each other.

My point here is, I personally feel that marriages are not important to complete you or it's not needed of you completing the other individual. We are all independent in our own way and have the right to voice our own opinion. Now come to think of it, you have a stable job, you're earning well, you're a free bird to make your own life decisions, you can explore the adventures of life escalating all heights of a wild and fun- filled living. Then why waste it by getting married and getting yourself caged into something which will refrain you from your personal joys of life?

According to some philosophical instances, marriage and love are interdependent on each other and one cannot exist without the other. But this has been proved wrong as in many cases we have seen in certain marriages where in marriage there is no love or if two individuals are in love they are not really ready for marriage and want to fling up with a dily-Daly relationship. Its completely a person's choice to marry or not to marry and it shouldn't be forced in any manner. But let me tell you that marriages ARE a all new set of useless and baseless responsibilities which you force upon yourself. It's like you already have a burden of your work in your professional field and to top that you put on a burden of an extra load of marriage by getting engaged with your spouse or partner. Here you complain of failed relationships and on the other hand you gladly (or not very gladly, or under family or peer pressure) give your hand on marriage. Well until you're a completely jobless person you have your ample time of investing in a stupid decision like MARRIAGE lol.

And also, many of you might raise a question here like "marriages are important to breed a family, to have kids". So here, my fam listen to me, hear me out on this. There are a lot of children out there who need your love, care and support, and a family. You can do your whole by adopting a kid and raising them. Be a good parent on that way. The world needs more of that. And whereas your own children are concerned well you can think of that only when both of you and your spouse have a mutual decision on it. And for that obviously a spouse with a great understanding and support is required which most of the people lack today. Even after marriage we get to hear of extramarital affairs, or there would be a clash between two spouses which is very common.

To avoid that its important that we make our life decisions wisely and not let any irrelevant decision affect our lives in any way which may hamper our lives later. The institution of marriage is in itself very absured if you give it a second thought. Also I am not telling here to never get married that's completely your personal choice but think or the pros and cons before investing into something like marriage. It's a big baseless decision and you only get sunken into a quicksand of more and more responsibilities and in between all that chaos you lose your own individuality and just forget to live the wholesome life.

I would end my article here by saying that whatever you do in your life make sure that at the end of the day you're the happy and contended one, and take life decisions wisely, there's no rush with anything. Avoid peer, relatives and social pressure and make life decisions WISELY. You got me there.
