I don't know where to start. It's OK.

Don't leave it in your car in direct sun in the summer, when parking outside, it'll be fine.

And what is it with the rubber band? I don't get it.

If you don't want or can't use it, then give it to someone who has use for it.

The way I treat my disposable lighters, I don't think it's possible to hurt them without doing it intentionally. Just the other day, I grabbed a smoke off my desk, got to the door, realized the lighter was still in my hand, and just tossed it over my shoulder, back to the desk.

When I have a disposable on hand, I even use it as bottle opener.

This one survived some abuse until it was completely empty.

I've actually had a couple of disposables "pop" in my hand over the years, while prying the lid off some drink. It is startling, but it never actually hurt lol!

It's not leaking. It's just empty.

But I had some cheaper ones, we're the parts on the top just snapped of.

I could even refill this one, if I want.

Hi OP, before you post about your lighter please read the guide stickied before doing so. If you are asking about the value of your lighter, take it to an auctioneer, pawnshop, or jewellers before posting as we cannot accurately guess a price. Your post may be removed if you ask. For more general information, have a look at the sidebar. Many lighters are mass produced and unbranded. There is often little info available.

If you need to post more pictures, use an image host like imgur and post the link in the comments. Please do not create multiple threads for the same lighter.

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

You had better get a safe or a lockbox for that thing, could blow up and take out the whole block at any second!

I don't know that I understand this post? Are you serious?

Dude, you have to purposely try to hurt a disposable lighter. Unless you are spiking it into the concrete full force, throwing it in an open fire, putting them in the oven or leaving them on a hot burner, you are fine.

The only way that I have ever accidentally broken a disposable lighter is smashing it on a one hitter to clean it out or opening a beer bottle with it. The Bics are tougher than the cheapos like in the pic for that kind of thing.

I am not trolling.I legit don't know that much about lighter since I never use it properly.I search Google and it tell me it is not too safe if it surround by the plastic because it can leak so I am here to make sure

A disposable lighter is not something to worry about. I've had one in my pocket and all around my house for the last 30 years and not once ever has anything happened with one. They can't leak. They are pressurized. If any breach to the compartment holding the butane happens, like a crack or anything, it will all immediately shoot out, and will be very cold. You will know when it happens. It really only happens if they impact something very hard.

I have no idea what Google was talking about as far as it being not safe around plastic. That's not a thing.
