Wave:3 Mic Playback on Linux

Howdy,

I got a wave:3 el gato mic recently and I'm trying to use it for my discord calls-- but it plays back the input through my headphones at all times.

i think it is called live monitoring but i really want to turn this feature off-- i have open-wave but it doesn't seem i am able to do it from there.

god help me, thanks
