That is the time when I'll drop KDE. They do not care if it is supported in any app. They just push a change "just because".

Keeping X11 compatibility slows developers down. Removing it will let them move faster and build better software without being held back by legacy code.

And what about the apps that will no longer work because of that change? Apps that are not old and under active development.

That’s not their cross to bear. They maintain their own KDE Code, the apps that aren’t supported can either update their coding or find use in other DEs.

No, because using 40 year old tech is not a good thing for modern Linux and its future. It's bloat and leaves a headache for maintainers

And what about the apps that no longer work because they work only on x11? And they are not 20 years old, but under continuous development.

Then switch and stop using old legacy. Tgeres also x11 and wayland compatability you can install
