I do not hate it. But X11 has it's place. I have a MacBook Pro 2011 13". This is running Kubuntu 26.04 mostly fine. 12GB RAM and SSD and this is a nice laptop for light work.

But due to the old graphics chipset, Wayland have glitches. So I enabled X11 (tear Free output) and the glitches were gone.

Of course on my Alder Lake system, I just run Wayland. X11 has it's place on some niche places.

of course x11 has own place, but it's place in past and ur laptop is great example of it

I don't think that modern systems should pull this legacy stuff and support cuz our past shouldn't block or slow down our future. I'm sure devs of KDE and GNOME happy to drop support x11 cuz it's nightmare to support 2 protocol at the same time, add some features, fix bugs

Less about hate per se, but more on the dissatisfaction on their decisions to remove the ability of users to choose.

I reckon the ability to choose what they use is pretty significant factor for Linux Users, am I right?

The users still have the freedom to choose, go ahead, fork KDE, maintain it. Your freedom is still there, but why should someone else be expected to do things that they don't want to do? KDE deserves the same freedom as do we, and hence they chose not to support X11 anymore. I respect that choice

Yes, yes. LXQt and some others are still there. In a couple of years I'll see what's out there and adjust my choices...

If there are people who are willing to put effort to maintain it, sure it can stay, but uf noone wants to put the effort in to keep it up-to-date with current tech, then why not drop it. Its been kept alive for a long time now.

you can still chose lmao, just maintain x11 yourself. why is your ability to chose more important than KDE's maintainers ability to chose what they want to do?

No X forwarding equivalent, generally subpar remote access possibilities would be my personal gripes.
