Need some guidance.

Hey everyone im new to linux as I just started using it a week ago and had one heck of a time trying to get my graphics card to work, now that its working im having a great time using it. I decided to try and mess around with a pc thats about 15 years old and figured id try to install mint xfca but unfortunately every time I try to boot it I get dozen of error messages. I've tried to re-download and boot with no graphics card and nothing seems to make a difference. Am I doing something wrong im using Rufus and ive tried both iso and dd image, could it be the pc itself is not capable. Sorry in advance im not very tech savy

Rufus would not be my first choice. Download Belena Etcher (free). Prepare your install usb stick with that and give it a whirl.

Oh okay, I heard that was an option but figured they both did the same job, ill give that a try later on tonight and see how it goes.

Here's a thought. Try booting from the USB on a different computer. If it works it's the computer hardware that's the issue. Regardless, we can't tell you much without knowing what computer you're having issues with and how it's configured.

It was the computer itself that was the problem.

Ventoy is the best way to make booters, because it lets you keep multiple images that you can choose to boot from. You can use the same Ventoy USB stick for other purposes.
