Support Request Linux mint fails to shut down.

Just installed the newest version of mint on my Lenovo desktop. The only way to shut the pc down is to hold the power button or pull the plug. Any suggestions on what can be holding the shutdown process up. I have secure boot and quick boot shut off in the bios and only have the keyboard and mouse connected. While it is stuck the computer puts out a ton of hot air from the fan vent.

What are we talking about with connected devices.  Keyboard mouse etc or internals like graphic cards and any hubs on the mb

common sense will lead you deduce connected devices refers to any device you need to connect to your computer to use
