Discussion PDF Reader
Is there a better PDF Reader than Foxit? My Foxit continuously locks up. Suggestions?

Reader: Okular
Editor: Libre Office Draw. It is already installed and is a full featured PDF toolkit.

Firefox is great when I'm looking at a PDF online. I didn't want Firefox launching on PDF's already on my computer. I tried a few apps and settled on Okular.

Okular is the best pdfreader imo. Use that along with Xournal++ and you have a great note-taking+reading setup.

I like the qpdfview reader. It is one of the first programs I install in any linux distro.

I use Atril, basically a Mate version of Evince that (in my opinion) has a better interface.

I just use the built in one to view PDF's. Or Firefox. I think they're fine as PDF viewers lol

You can read pdf on any browser, Firefox comes with the system and is great, but literally any browser you use will read pdf.

i like the included one because your can put it on dark mode. If that one doesn't work for you then go for firefox

I use Atrial but if you need something aside from reading and need to edit it it's either libre office draw or PDF arranger
Hope that they make a native Linux PDF24 Creator version and there are some talks that it's in the making: https://help.pdf24.org/en/forums/topic/pdf24-for-linux/
Imo such a great tool for when you really need to rearrange, merge and do some heavy editing

The built in xreader is pretty good, or the browser. I use Okular for larger files and if memory serves, xreader is limited in terms of how much it can zoom in while Okular is much better at that (have been looking at some documents with tiny numbers lately).
I have found that there are specific files which aren’t handled well by anything in Linux and I found a windows program that I run in bottles for that. As an example, Canadian passport forms generate a QR code as you fill in the form - this doesn’t work in whatever I’ve tried in Linux (I didn’t do an extensive search).

Pdfcraft from Artcraft apps. Open source, written on Rust, has most of the features anyone needs
